Robinson again chose Louisville over Auburn, among others, tonight. And South Carolina Mr. Football RB Matt Colburn's offer has been pulled with the option to grey shirt. Recruiting can be an ugly business sometimes.

Glad for Robinson great news and welcome aboard. Really hate that Colburn is not coming. I wish he would still come and possibly grey shirt not sure how all that works but can't blame him for being a little surprised or upset especialyl since he has been committed for so long. Goo luck to the young man.

I'm not going to lie. This really peeves me off and turns me off to the whole world of recruiting. We shouldn't mess with a kids future like that and tell him on the eve of signing that his scholarship has been pulled. Imagine what that kid and family is going through right now as I type this.

Awful!

The recruiting side of college sports, football especially, is a very ugly business but that's exactly what it is, a business. It happens to programs way more often than it happens to players but in the end somebody is gonna get screwed with last minute and sometimes last second decisions are made. But this kid will be fine. Its not like he cant sign somewhere after signing day is over. Good luck to him and I hate it for him but Coach gets paid to do what is best for his program and we have to trust that if we want to win.

I have to be honest why we are pulling South Carolinas Mr Football is beyond me. I I know it is a business and someone mainly kids will get screwed, but we let the kid thingstad know two months ago, I don't think this is right two days before signing day because its not like the kid can go out and take visits, he is basically gonna have to play the waiting game with teams to see if any of them have a spot open up. I would probably say Clemson or South Carolina and I pray he doesn't go to Clemson because if he does he will play with a huge chip on his shoulder against us.

Chaz, we don't have room for anymore. We would have to grey shirt also to take him. The only problem I have is the timing. 2 days before NSD is going to be hard on the kid.

It stinks and I hate this beyond words. There is no honor or integrity in college sports any longer and I hate that. Matt Colburn doesn't deserve this. He was honoring HIS commitment to the University of Louisville, and UofL should have honored their offer. If you KNOW you're out of offers, then why in the Sam Hell are you out there still trying to fill slots you don't have? I know kids screw programs all the time and I hate that too. Still the program should be above treating a kid who is honoring HIS word like this.

I am ashamed what this coaching staff did to this young man as a UofL fan. I sincerely hope he destroys it where ever he ends up and goes on to have a long and successful football career. I want him to shine so this coaching staff remembers the day they F'ed up.

I believe a greyshirt would mean he wouldn't go on scholarship until January 2016 (instead of fall 2015) and count towards the 2016 recruiting class, not the 2015 class.

IMO, Colburn should just go grey if he wants to be a Card. There is a reason the coaching staff is moving in that direction. It's called building a team. I'll let the experts here cipher through the details. If the coaches want you to grey shirt just do it.

Or go elsewhere and don't complain.

Go Cards!

This kid committed 7-8 months ago in this case his scholly should have been honored. I don't agree with this move this close to signing day. I really feel like had we told this kid months ago this could happen then I wouldn't have a problem with it. i do have a problem with this 2 days before signing day and to use the excuse we didnt plan on having 3 dbs leave is a COP OUT. We knew these three were gone weeks ago. Tell the kid then. What happens now when Redwine signs with Miami? I am just curious and I am hearing that is where he will go.

Strong pulled the grey shirt thing at least 4-5 times
Several late to long time commits
It's big time football
This happens everywhere
If it bothers you then don't follow recruiting or switch loyalties to a lesser program
This happens everywhere and many times works out for everyone
Lozo did well
The guy they pulled his scholarship for did pretty well
He was the first pick in the draft
South Carolina did well
We did well
Lozo did well
Clowney did well
Recruiting at this level isn't for the thin skinned
This happens at every major program
Ccs did this every year
I guess some people just hate bobby
But if you're really taking a moral stand then perhaps cheering for a D2 school
This is big time recruiting fellas

That's 100% what it is, some of these ppl just hate Bobby so much, they fail to understand it's something that happens all the time.

Yup, this makes all the lack of character and integrity O.K.. South Carolina did it. So it must be ok.
