Had a chance to sneak in a peek of UL's scrimage the other day.
The defensive front 7, (at least the starting corps), looks like it will be every bit as good as last years squad. I need to see more of the two deep to know what our depth is there though.
The D-backs are questionable right now. Harvey-Clemons is a beast, but with Wiggins out, safety is hard to tell. The CB's have some talent, but really are not being challenged a great deal, because, (frankly), the WR's are just not up to speed yet on their routes.
Speaking of the WR's. There is good size and talent, but there is NO way to replace Parker. We are going to miss him badly. As I noted, the WR's are basically new and still learning the system, and you can see that often in routes being cut short or they get turned around a little.
On the QB situation, I will say that once he gets full control of the playbook Ferguson looks like he could take over as the starting QB.
