Former Louisville basketball star Damion Lee suffered a torn ACL and is out for the rest of the NBDL season, the Boston Globe reported Wednesday.
Lee, who played last season with U of L as a graduate transfer, was on the Maine Red Claws' roster for the first two months of this campaign, averaging 17.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
The 6-foot-6 Lee was picked up by the Red Claws after receiving a training camp invitation from the Boston Celtics. It's the second time in his career that he has torn his ACL.
Hate to hear this. I really hope Lee is able to recover from this injury and keep pursuing his dream.
