For those in the know--any risk that LPT could lose Stupes?...

I'm not that plugged into coaching vacancies, expected vacancies, and young up-and-comers in the coaching ranks. As ridiculous as the question sounds, is it possible that we--U of L and LPT--could lose Stupes to a better job (a category encompassing 90% of P5 schools)?

If Will Muschamp could quickly land another SEC job, anything is possible. I'm hoping the illustrious slapd!ck AD and my favorite avatar character will come thru with a new $20 million contract. But I'd also like to hear that no one would be 'stoopid' enough besides LPT to give this clown a job.

Any prognosticators out there?

I think that's a year away if it's going to happen. They'll go bowling this year with 6-7 wins. Improve on that by 1-2 games next season and someone will call.

I'm more curious about a vacancy caused by dominoes falling. A job opens up because that school's coach takes a better job.

Stupes obviously ain't on anyone's list for Texas, LSU, or ND. If the little porker has any sense, however, he will look at just about any P5 job. One of these idiot ADs may get desperate enough, and boom!...We've lost the guy we want coaching the slapd!cks forever.

My one consolation is the guy who hired him is still in his job...

I get the idea that without looking under the hood, a coach that can get UK to 6 or 7 wins should go to the HOF. But I've seen under the hood and it's more like that episode of Family Guy where Peter buys the used car with an engine that's just a drawing of an engine.

Stoops needs to go to bowls for 2-3 years if he wants to get out of there.

Disagree. Win 8 next year and he'll get calls. You can't compare Florida to UK. Florida is Florida. UK is ...... UK. 4 solid recruiting classes, bowl game, another solid class and 8 wins puts him in a good spot. To bring UK from the depths of Joker to 8 wins takes a whole lot more effort than making Florida good in football.
