here is rp's career record here, he lost 13 games his first year in C-USA, a hotbed of bball talent. you may want to give padgett at least a couple of months to get it going, it took rp until the fourth year to be really good. and then we sucked for three years, choked in 2008 because he couldn't adjust in the msu game. then we sucked for three years. then a title. then disappointed years of early tourney losses. so while he won a title, he really wasn't that great in the regular reason and was a 50/50 shot of losing in the first two rounds of the touney. so maybe, just maybe, we could give padgett some time rounding out this team because to me it seems like we are in every game and not getting blown off the floor. most every coach int he country complains his team can't play a full 40 minute game so lighten up. finally, also remember, not only are the players getting used to a new coaching staff, the staff themselves are getting used to each other. honestly, even win is awesome!

After the 1st FF UofL did not suck for three years. They "sucked" for one year. Round of 32 two years after is not bad, and the 3rd year after they went to the E8.

After the MSU loss UofL did not "suck" for three years. They were avg the first year after losing the 8/9 game, then lost as a favorite in the 1st round the second year, which sucked, but the team didn't suck. The 3rd year they made the FF and lost to UK.

I'm all for supporting Padgett but you don't need to rewrite Pitino's history to support Padgett.

People need to quit comparing them. Padgett was put in a difficult situation and he's doing just fine given those circumstances.

You hit the nail on the head. I’m happy with DP and I agree Rick had to go. But to be fair the talent DP has and what Rick had when he arrived well it isn’t close. The program back then was in a nose dive. The only reason the program is in trouble today was due to Ricks poor hiring practices. And managing his assistant coaches. Player wise we’re in great shape.

so in all, he didn't make the tourney four times, lost the first game three times, and lost the second game twice. out of 17 years 9 times he couldn't make the sweet 16. for such a great coach not that great. he let us down constantly when it counted. yes he won a title, with players he got because of the strippers (harrell has been banned from u of l if you hadbn't noticed) and theres a good chance that banner is coming down and if that happens rp has no titles and has sent u of l in the oblivion. we are the laughing stock of college sports and if any of you still think rp was a good coach you can pull your head out of your ass now. he ruined ui of l and the tilte was not worth it. i always thought rp was a scumbag from the start and it turned out to be true.

Again your analysis is weak. There is no comparison to other programs. I am not going to do your work for you but I suspect if I did it would show UL as a top 5 - 10 program in regular season wins and NCAA Tournament Wins during RPs tenure.

As for the latest off court stuff I will wait for the evidence to be revealed. To date all we have is allegations.

I was with you right up until you said you hope Padgett gets more than this year. He’s not ready and we are beyond coaches on training wheels. Another year with him just keeps the program from moving forward and putting this situation behind it.
