I'm kind of excited for the season to start, but the uncertainty of it finishing due to Covid along with the STILL looming sanctions has put a huge damper on my enthusiasm.
With all of the vaccine news these past 2 weeks, I’d be very surprised if we see the basketball season (or the spring sport season for that matter) cancelled this year.
Your other point could definitely happen at some point, but I expect UofL to appeal any postseason ban sanction - pointing out that we basically imposed a postseason ban (as well as took a huge financial hit) when we fired Pitino just before the start of the 2017-18 season.
I’m not expecting any postseason ban to happen in the spring of 2021. But 2022 is a possibility if we lose an appeal.
