Well, 50-50 is better than 0.
I learned that MSU and the B1G were a bust and that the B1G should be renamed the B0G as Bama made them look like they were in the fog. Could Bama had made them look any worse?
My hope is that the Tigers at least show up give the Tide a game.
Prediction: Bama 27 Clemson 24 And I would be very happy to be wrong.

I was 50/50 too. But my picks were the exact opposite of yours (other than I too thought the Alabama/MSU game would be close).
The championship game should be interesting. Alabama sees the zone read a little more than Oklahoma so scheme-wise they should be better able to deal with it. I expect Clemson to have some success, but not as much as it had with OU. Where I think Clemson may have some struggles is in the passing game. Alabama does not blitz much (because they don't have to) so Boyd is going to have to hit tight windows in coverage. I don't think he is good enough to do that consistently.
On the other side of the ball, can Clemson do to Alabama's running game what they did to Oklahoma's? If they can, how will they accomplish it? If they bring down a safety, I expect Alabama to use a game plan similar to what it used against MSU which is to pass the ball frequently. If Clemson can stop the run with just its front seven, then that would not work and Alabama will struggle itself.
To me, those are the two keys: What can Clemson get done in the passing game; and can Clemson stop Derrick Henry with just seven in the box.
The two teams rank 1 and 2 in the country in forced three-and-outs. Barring an unusual number of turnovers, I can't see either team putting up 30 points.
