After Louisville hosted an impressive group of visitors for the Louisville/Duke basketball game the other night a couple prospects, Carrington Valentine and Izayah Cummings, really gave great examples of the culture change that the new coaching staff has brought about.

Carrington Valentine, a 3-star WR/DB from Cincinnati, OH said of his visit " had an awesome time with all the new coaches. It was a fun time! The only downside was Louisville didn’t get the W."

Of note, Valentine said he played some games with the coaches. "We played some pretty competitive games of Mario Cart", Valentine stated, saying he played against Coach Brown, Coach Dennison, and Coach Nochta. "I came in second a few times. Funny, Coach Brown seemed to dominate. He didn't let up on the gas".

Cummings was also able to spend time letting loose with the coaches.

"It was great, besides the loss" Cummings said. "I really enjoyed myself there. had a great time with the coaches and also played some cornhole with them." Cummings, who stated that he won 3 matches, said one coach was the clear-cut best at cornhole. "Most definitely Coach Ivey", Cummings remarked.

Overall there has been a lot of talk by the new coaching staff of improving the culture and it hasn't taken long to see the that new culture permeating the program. Examples like Valentine and Cummings show firsthand that Scott Satterfield and staff are practicing what they are preaching. Not only will that help with current players and hopefully on-field production, this is the type of behavior that should ultimately payoff on the recruiting trail as well.
