So yeah, I do not watch ESPN unless a game is on. Their motive laden analysis of certain teams is just too much, and really none of their talking heads are likeable.

That said, I gave them a chance after pairings dropped. I figured, maybe, with so much data to work with, the clowns could produce some kind of interesting conversation about the tournament.

Now, I understood - some discussion about the undefeated #1 seed was a given, and deserved no doubt. I didn't mind the initial love fest they were given, and didn't really think the interview to Calapari was too bad either. Maybe an interview they could have gone with after doing the overall breakdown of the tournament, like 30-45 minutes into the show.

But really, what happened was, the first 20-25 minutes was a UK infomercial. 5-10 minutes would have been plenty, but first the round table go UK talk, then the kiss-up sequence with Calipari, then they go to Dickie V to talk UK, then they go back to the round table for UK, then they go to commercial, then they go back to Dickie V and ask him the same question they asked him 5 minutes prior - who can beat UK?

I just laughed and turned it off. It was just overkill. They deserve to be discussed, and they deserve to be discussed at the opening of the broadcast. But my lord, they kind of sucked the life out of a lot of viewers I think. The biggest day of the college basketball season was yesterday, and they spent literally the first half hour on UK only.

Such a waste of a podium, and pretty insulting the rest of the nation.

I know, ESPN is a joke. But this was pretty bad. An I'm an open-minded guy.

This ^^^^^ right here is why I didn't watch any of the selection coverage for the first time in a long time. I found out where we were seeded online. It's not specifically because of the UK stuff, but because of their story lines and favoritism every year.

I wish the post selection shows were more about giving a breakdown of teams, key wins and losses, key players and stats, some history, etc.

I really don't need the storylines. I really don't need a guy shoving down my throat why a team WILL win and why one WILL lose. Anybody can beat anybody on a given night. The analyst brackets are wrong more than the casual fan brackets are.

I can't stand it. I will wait til the games are on and watch the games.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. I watched all 2 hours of the Bracketology coverage on ESPN. I get that they could possibly accomplish something that has not been done in over 30 years, but more insight/analysis on some of the other teams and games would have been nice to see.

Yell that is what kills me Uk the first to do this that . Well Witchita did it last year heading in the tourney no respect for them. Florda went undefeated in conference last year after thought. Wait for the Uk love if they pull it off remeber the year they won it all that over the top espn shows and thing s they did for. uk and Cal. We win it the next season and you really didn't know we did it was all about how Mich lost it.

ESPN and the SEC are joined at the hip now because of ESPN launching the SEC network. You think the UofK love fest is hard to deal with, just wait until the next college football season rolls around. The slobbering they will ALL do over every single SEC football team in the conference is going to be sickening.

Right now all they can legitimately pimp is UofK basketball with a sprinkle of LSU, UGA, and Arkansas added to the hype. That's almost over, and God help them if UofK gets upset. They'll cry in their soup for hours ON the air.

After Vitale whined for 10 minutes about Murray State, and Bilas basically called him a bleeding heart idiot, and they started bringing out all these douchey looking analysts I've never seen before, I was done.

In the interest of full disclosure, the ACC has a pretty sizable deal with ESPN.

It's always gonna be between Duke,Uk,Kansas,NC with ESPN which ever one of the 4 is the hot topic will get the hype.

I recorded the bracketology show at 9:00 pm. After they introduced the 4 commentators and Bilas wasn't one of them, I turned it right back off.
