Ellis Not Returning To UofL

Offensively no one in the portal better than him. Defensively all kinds of guys better than him.

I didn’t like his pouting at times, but he is a good college player.

The plot thickens.

Who wants someone that doesn't want to be here?!? Not me! To hell with them. Let them go and we will be better for it.

GO CARDS!!!

I agree especially if they asked you to take a different role to help the team and he refused. He will probably end up at NC State. He fits their style of offense.

First off, thank you El Ellis. Good luck to him. Wish him nothing but the best.

In my opinion, Ellis not coming back is a good thing. Speculating here but I think Ellis was told and knows he will not be the primary PG next year. He may just want a change of scenery as well.

The dynamics of this team (all teams really) with the guys KP is bringing in is going to be completely different. Much better players coming in. Clark is a much better guard and overall player. As long as Clark is good mentally, and I think he will be.... fans will really like his game. He can shoot at all levels and is a much better decision-maker at guard. No way Ellis can keep the same role with the guys coming in.

You know I just didn't see any logical reason why Ellis would return to Louisville. Would anybody coming off a 4 and 28 season? Ellis was one of the best offensive players in the ACC but he was basically overlooked because of how atrocious his team was.

KP could bring in 3 McDonald's All Americans and 3 top transfers and he still wouldn't have returned to Louisville. This past season was a total embarrassment and no one in Ellis's position wants to be constantly reminded of it.

A guy like Traynor stays because of his family ties to Louisville and James has three more years to put that nightmare season behind him. El Ellis had to move on. Nothing he did good and he did a lot, will ever be remembered by fans and media. All anyone will remember is 4 and 28.

Goodbye GIF

If it’s somehow not NC State, I would enjoy seeing him play at Arkansas, all jokes aside. They do good with guards and transfers

I would loved to have seen what Ellis could do here at the 2 guard spot. We clearly lacked playmakers last year, guys who could create their own shot. Ellis was the only one of those we had (maybe James) and it would have still been nice to have him as an offensive weapon on the team.
