University of Louisville women's soccer midfielder Emina Ekic has been named a Top 10 Division I Midfielder by Top Drawer Soccer.
She is one of five midfielders from the Atlantic Coast Conference named to the list, joined by Florida States's Jaelin Howell and Yujie Zhao, North Carolina's Brianna Pinto and Virginia's Taryn Torres.
"One of the best midfielders in the ACC and all of college soccer, Ekic goes overlooked at times for players at more prominent programs. But her ability to unlock a defense is matched by few, and she's a good passer that can create chances. She scored eight and setup eight more last fall (three of her goals coming from the penalty spot) and will eye up finishing with 10 goals and assists should a season go forward." - Top Drawer Soccer
Ekic played her high school soccer here in Louisville at Manual High School.
