I've always had another take on the degree of Casey's involvement, not that he was unaware of what was going on. He left the envelope open for a reason - to get stuffed with cash. Being the source of the $1000 was above his pay grade. His HOF HC was not given serious scrutiny until later and his HOF AD totally escaped without a whisper. This was the same AD who was in charge during the Hundred Dollar Handshake era.

They were all aware, and each one participated in the multiple violations. UK learned to be more creative going forward; which explains the entrance of WW Wes into Calipari’s program.

This is probably more about him being a successful NBA coach than his days as a CAT. I actually did some work in the coal mines in his hometown of Morganfield and I can tell you, credit to him for getting out of a place like that and becoming successful.
