I hate to be that guy but how many games is this? 3? I am a huge Donovan fan, but statistically speaking, you need a sample size of 30 or more for mean (avg) and standard deviations to be significant. If he gets a 3rd of the way into the D-league or NBA season and is putting up these numbers, you'll know it's legit. Here's hoping he continues his stellar play.
Of the 3 "big sports" - I think NBA is the most important to hit the ground running - especially for any player that had multiple years of college experience.
It is a small sample and the competition is different than what he'll see in real NBA action.
That said, you cannot deny it's better to be turning heads in a positive way, than to be struggling. Guys that struggle in the summer league don't figure to "get better" once the competition gets tougher.
