The biggest adjustment?

Contacting a player directly and hearing three key words: Call my agent.

“That still takes some getting used to,” Louisville associate head coach Nolan Smith says. “There are still some that say to call my mom or dad or AAU coach, but ‘agent’ is normal now. A lot of times agents are gonna ‘agent’ you. You just have hope that you’re dealing with a good person in the agent that’s gonna be real with you and not try and gouge you with NIL and take advantage of the situation. You pick and choose which ones you want to deal with, and you learn that pretty fast. We’re all adjusting; it’s new for everyone.”

NIL dollars only make the process more arduous as the price for top-tier transfers continues to rise.

I personally love the nil. It puts Louisville on level playing grounds with the rest of the cheaters from the SEC. Hopefully we'll buy some players away from duke too. Let them know what we've been going through for the last 10 years. Payback can be a bittch!

Cow talking about the NIL and not wanting players to come there looking for payouts. First off anybody not wearing blue knows damn well he's the dirtiest coach in college basketball.
The hypocrite had to pay Big O 2 million of NIL money for him to stay another year. Fortunately, Kentucky fans have finally seen through most of his bs. But let's not kid ourselves it's because he's not doing it the job tournament time. If he was going to final fours and could win a National championship without A Davis they would still be eating up all his crap. GTFO with telling people players come here to develop and get an education. Cow feeling the heat because he's now playing on a more even playing field.

Something i missed when did the ncaa allow players to have agents? It was always my assumption that they were a big no no. Due to athletes receiving benefits .
