Finally got to watch the full Duke game tonight. Just wanted to say that Deng has so much potential and was really able to show it in this game. Loved the hustle, defense, and effort. He really appeared to bother Ingram. Scoring didn't hurt either. The scramble for the ball and dish out to Lee at the top of the key for 3 was nice.

The knee injury and missing all those games really slowed his development and game experience but I think next season, along with King, that the SF position could be pretty darn good. Don't get me wrong, it is going to be really hard replacing Lee, but it does look promising as of now.

If King lives up to his hype then along with Adel, there are zero worries at the small forward spot. As a matter of fact, I don't think we're going to have many if any holes to fill next year. I expect Johnson to continue his improvement and lock down the power forward spot. The other post players are improving each time they touch the floor too with Spalding and Anas making the biggest splash not named Onuaku. Snider, Mitchell, and the 5th year transfer Hicks will make up the bulk of PT at the guard spot and we can't forget about Frankie Hughes and the kid out of Florida who red shirted this year.

This year could have been really special had it not been for the post season ban. This tourney this year was right there for the taking. I think we're all going to wonder "what if" for a very long time.

I always thought that this team was special. I also felt that CRP would never self impose a post season ban, if only because of Lee and Lewis. That being said, maybe it's better neither he nor I had a vote. Imagine for the moment we did not self impose the ban and the NCAA rules this summer a next year ban. Now everyone on the roster can transfer without sitting out a year, along with possible recuiting restrictions and CRP sat down. How many football players can play basketball to fill out the roster. Based on this and the fact that the tourney takes great play and good luck I think this year vs the future. April let the future begin.

You really see Johnson locking down the power forward spot? I think that will belong mostly to Anas or Spalding next year. To me Johnson is just out of control most of the time. Always in a rush like the game is way too fast for him

Johnson does all the little things that coach P seems to like a lot so yeah, I do see him locking down that spot. He may or may not start but I believe he will be on the floor when coach needs the players he trusts the most to be out there.

As a PF, JJ needs to go to the basket hard and not put up those floaters. Also, he seems to have a nice 10 foot jump shot, he needs to give up sky hooks from the foul line.

Loved what I saw from Adel tonight! That one handed throw down was awesome and injected some much needed energy to the team. This guy is going to be helluva player for us.

If we could find and sign another quality guard I think we need to do so. We're losing a ton of points from Lee and Lewis graduating. We have tons of depth everywhere but there, one additional guard that can contribute makes us a national title contender (if were eligible).

I think we'll be OK (assuming this year is the only post season ban). Lewis is the main guy who needs his position replaced, and if Tony Hicks is as pure of a shooter as he's been hyped to be, then he should be able to fill that role. Lee is more of a small forward, so Adel and King should have that spot covered. Johnson and Spalding will hold down the power forward spot with Anas being more of a stretch 4, and assuming Onuaku comes back, then the center spot will be in good shape too with the improvement of Stockman.

It just sucks this year is going to be over after 3 more games, but it's time to get over that and look to the future even if it uncertain at this point.

In an ideal world, Tony Hicks would be a defensive mosquito we haven't had since Russ and Peyton. Offensively, I believe we are in ideal hands with Mitchell, Q, Levitch and McMahon. Bear in mind as well that Deng will play the 2 in a pinch, leaving us with a record setting tall team.
