This recruitment has been a prototypical big league battle. With Louisville trying to fend off Texas and Georgia with a new head coach having 20 days to keep him. Great job by the new staff, and the Clarkson crew keeping him in the fold to this point but the battle isn’t over.

What I do know is this. Texas is hosting him for an unofficial visit right now. He took an official visit in November, if memory serves me. I don’t like the fact he’s flying out there on his own dime to visit a staff he’s already familiar with when his Bosco teammates are flying out to meet with Brohm and company. When a school changes coaches players get to take an additional official visit if they’ve taken one to see the old staff. It makes sense that the Bosco kids are getting a paid trip to Louisville while Moore is opting to finance a follow up visit to Texas.

There is one faction close to Moore who thinks he stays with Louisville and another that thinks he either goes to Texas or Georgia.

Moore’s tie to Georgia is that his old head coach is on staff there. His tie to Texas I’m not sure of but he’s back there on his own dime in lieu of a free return visit to Louisville with his friends so does it even matter? His ties to Louisville are his brother who plays here and obviously all of his Bosco friends.

I’ve said it since he started taking visits that he’s doing the smart thing by trying to increase his NIL payday. I thought he was still going to stick with Louisville. Then the staff bolted to Cincinnati and he’s taking an unofficial back to Texas the weekend before NSD instead of coming out here to meet the new staff.

My guy at Texas has gone dark on me. Louisville seems confident they can keep him but there was some concern about other schools and they level of assuredness was less than what was expressed in relation to the other Bosco kids.

Georgia is out there lurking but I think the battle is Texas and Louisville. He already knows what he has in regard to Louisville. I think the purpose of the Texas visit is to make sure he’s certain where he wants to go and/or to see if the NIL pot gets sweeter. With that being said maybe he wants to return to Georgia and Louisville one more time and he pushes his signing past December.

I’ll keep digging until NSD.
