I have noticed over the past few weeks that David Levitch seems to be less and less a factor in games. Early in they year he seemed to provide the team a lift, but he seems to be in a funk. He has not scored in the past 5 games and has only 2 assists over the past 6 games. Here are his stats over the past 7 games:

Virginia 23-mins 3-points 2-assists 0-turnovers

Miami 4-mins 2-points 0-assists 0-turnovers

Syracuse 6-mins 0-points 0-assists 0-turnovers

Virginia Tech 3-mins 0-points 1-assists 0-turnovers

North Carolina DID NOT PLAY

Syracuse 8-mins 0-points 0–assists 1-turnovers

Wake Forest 3-mins 0-points 1–assists 1-turnovers

Team is now full strength. Stretch of games where he saw more minutes coincided with Snider/Hicks injuries. Early season PT an indirect result of Hicks injury, and the FR not really being ready yet. Pitino uses veteran lesser players as motivational pawns for the kids, and also as a teaching mechanism to have them watch how he expects them to play when they get their chance.

He can hit a shot, he knows the playbook, knows how to play. I'm happy we have him, could come through without notice. But he's not a big piece of the puzzle in normal circumstances.

Has major limitations defensively - can't hide him vs a team with better than average guards....like say a UNC or Syracuse....

I th
I'm more concerned about McMahon. I don't think he's hit a 3 in awhile.
I think he feels pressured to get it early, because he might not be in long.Get in the flow of the game first(lol, unless it's do or die in ot).
As far as Levitch,he'll get his chances going forward, limited as they might be and he'll be a factor at some point.
