Darius Perry, Lance Thomas and Malik Williams sent U of L their signed national letters of intent on Wednesday morning. Jordan Nwora, a forward from New York, plans to send his letter on Friday after a ceremony at his prep school, Vermont Academy.

The signing class is currently ranked third in the nation by ESPN, fourth by 247Sports and seventh by Scout, though those ratings may fluctuate by next Wednesday, when the early signing period ends.

"We're extremely pleased with this group of young men," U of L coach Rick Pitino said in a statement. "What we really wanted in this recruiting class is long, triple-threat guys – players that can shoot, pass and beat people off the bounce. In addition, all are extremely intelligent basketball people and articulate young men."

In a press conference Wednesday afternoon, Pitino said the signing class served as a reward for his staff's hard work amid an NCAA investigation into U of L's basketball program. The scandal that rocked the program came out 13 months ago, and Louisville struggled to recruit in the immediate aftermath.

"We suffered greatly last year trying to convince anybody to attend the University of Louisville at that time because of the sanctions in mid-year," Pitino said. "Every recruit thought it would be this year that we would (self-impose a postseason ban)."
