Cowherd just picked UL to lose

I've heard this from a lot of national analysts. Gillen, Russo yesterday same thing, "Louisville can't score."

News flash, most teams can't score. And most don't play the kind of defense we do. I'd be shocked if we lost to UCI. They aren't any good.

Good thing your average two year old knows more about college basketball than CC or I'd be worried...

That makes me feel better. That guy is biggest know nothing blowhard I've ever heard on radio or TV.

Cowherd is also the same dumbass that said after Redskins' all pro safety Sean Taylor was murdered that his "past life had finally caught up to him" as if he was doing something wrong. Taylor had turned his life around and was murdered by some stranger teenage street thugs after money. I lost any respect I had for Cowherd right there. Not to mention that anyone who disagrees with him is always wrong much like that soon to be leaving d!ck head Lachlame McClain.

Making these kinds of predictions are really not that big of a stretch. Be right, and you can run around telling everyone who will listen that you are a genius. Be wrong, and oh well, Louisville is a 4 and a blueblood, what do people expect?

He really does suck. I cannot believe the guy still has a show and a national one, at that. Turrible.

We may not want to hear it, but the truth is the Cards could drop this game. I do not think they will but I would not be surprised if they did. It's been that kind of year.

Paul Bessire, Cowherd's guest who runs PredictionMachine.com also said that this year's East region is the weakest region he's seen in the last six years. Interesting, I didn't think it was that soft.

Sure we could. But I'm more inclined to say we would beat them 9 outta 10 times. Guess that's why we play the game.

Go Cards!

I remember when he said during Teddy's last year that we had no pros on our football team except for Teddy. I haven't listened to him since.

Oh my, here we go. All of the psycho Louisville fans come to freak out. How dare a successful national host have 64 teams to choose from, not be in love with Louisville. I've already read "he sucks, how does he still have a show".

Really, you just make rational fans look silly. Obviously he has a show because he has talent. Of course with some of you brilliant thinkers, ever picking against Louisville is proof that you shouldn't even have a show. I hope Louisville wins..............I wouldn't bet my house on it though. Louisville is so up and down I don't know what to expect.

Ok, I'll let the rest of you red-goggled, "RATIONAL" fans get back to freaking out that some national host didn't pick Louisville. Oh, the humanity. How will some of you make it through the rest of your lives. How dare he have a show when he has the audacity to not select Louisville to win every NCAA match-up. He should be deported from the country.

Yes, Louisvlle has had a poor offense most of the season, but I'll be shocked if Irvine wins this.

That being said, I like CC as a commentator.

These "experts" are quick with their picks.

But if they were pressured into backing it with their own money? We'd start hearing the word "points" thrown around.

He got what he wanted. People are talking about it.

Hey Mr. Rational. The early line has the Cards -9. So, I guess we'll see if his "talent" includes picking first round 9 point dogs soon enough.

Go Team!

Agree. I actually enjoy listening to Cowherd. I do not agree with him all the time, but that goes for everyone. I feel good about the Cards chances, but anyone thinking this is a lock has not watched the same team I have been looking at all season. This region is wide open and the Cards are more than capable, but they have not been able to put together any consistent back to back performances. This is what scares me. I really hope they can win Friday and put together a nice run. It has happened before.

Damn straight.

Go Cards! Beat the...wait for it...Anteaters!

True, you seem to be making the false premise that having an entertaining sports show and being an accurate line setter working for Vegas are the same thing.

Since he doesn't work for Las Vegas, and isn't employed to pick gambling lines I don't really see what your point is? There will be almost 100 games in the next three weeks. I'm sure no one will get even half of them correct. Anyone who has watched these tournament knows for a fact there WILL be upsets, guessing who will be upset by a lower seed has always been difficult and a bit of a guess.

Firstly, It's beak not bird.

"True, you seem to be making the false premise that having an entertaining sports show and being an accurate line setter working for Vegas are the same thing. "

I'm not seemingly trying anything. I could give a German rat's ass who he picks. I'll take Louisville straight up as a 4 seed against any team making their first time NCAA Tourny appearance. I'd probably win 90+%.

Go Cards!

Cowherd knows LA sports, the NFL and that's about it. He's not a college sports guy in any fashion.

I can't see one post in this thread where anyone is offended by Cowherd picking UC Irvine they mostly just agree that he doesn't know sh!t about college basketball and is a blabbermouth that loves to hear himself talk (my opinion). I guarantee that if he picks Northern Iowa to beat us in the 2nd round (assuming both teams win) that nobody on here would say anything so that kind of blows up your stupid statement above.

But hey, he has a successful show so there must be a helluva lot of fantasy dorks, NBA fans and people that love to hear the names Kobe, LeBron, Kardashian and Goodell 500 times a day. I'd rather listen to informative guys like Bob Valvano, Grant Napear and even Tim Brando but to each his own.

Cowherd may even be right but just because he has national show doesn't mean that he knows more about one particular sport than the local fans do. In fact I'd bet that there are plenty of posters on this board that are quite a bit more knowledgeable about college basketball than Cowherd.

Stick to headline watching Colin... and the Kardashians.

Cowherd has the best sports radio show around. That being said, he realizes his primary role is to have an interesting and entertaining show. If you listen to his show to find out who to pick in your bracket, then you just don't get it.

heck we got our own fan base scared of Northern iowa , i personally don't under estimate any opponent however the flaws with this team i still know this team is better..

That right there is why I think UofL wins this game. We have 2 players on the Louisville roster who have won a national championship, while UC Irvine is just happy to be selected. I'll take the Cards minus 9. I think we'll cover.

Exactly! Kobe, Lebron, Lakers, Roger Goddell, Manning, Brady. Rinse. Repeat.
