Don't intend to make it political, just pointing out we're seeing a ton of guys forced to sit in the pros and I just heard the UK vs tOSU game is cancelled.

Getting a bad feeling about future cancellations now.

All over a new strain that the doctors are saying is the mildest form of covid 19. Most people are having two days of low level discomfort. It's actually a good thing that this mutation replaces Delta.

Nothing in our world that's important will ever not be used politically again. That ship sailed long ago and only the events of the past two years has made everyone aware the icebergs are there to sink us.

Rumor going around today that Malik might not be playing vs WKU and KY . Due to covid issues how true this is . Who knows but it's some smoke going up. Typical U of L SMH

Mack is not a guy who follows rules. so i have the same feeling about future cancellations.
Just heard Rummage whom is co-hosting on 680 this evening talking about the rumor. Not confirmed but they played Mack talking about covid issues and cancellations with the NCAA at present. He didn't sound to convincing that somethings not a mist HMM ! Guess we will know before tip off .

If such a large % of the NBA/NHL/NFL world have COVID, it probably reaches college as well.

The testing is more rigid in the pros so those are getting identified maybe at a quicker rate.

Chris Mack says Lousville will look to step up its covid precautions with cases rising and games being impacted. Might be wearing masks on the bus, for example.

It’s mild if you’re vaccinated - hospitalization rates and death still high among those not smart enough to protect themselves.

Nothing political about that…

And here we are!

20 games cancelled over the weekend. Pro sports leagues rewriting the protocols. Not sure what colleges approach will be, but until further notice, you gotta expect the cancel counts to climb this week.

Syracuse, Louisville, Florida State and now Boston College are all on Covid pauses. The Eagles had to cancel their game against Wake Forest which, per league policy, is now a forfeit.

They are going to have to change the testing rules to get the season in. I'm sure they're looking at it been kind of busy lately not sure what the rules are really.

THE ACC has made some changes.

The ACC changed its COVID-19 protocols on Wednesday, changing the forfeit rule that had previously applied to teams unable to play a scheduled league game due to positive COVID-19 cases.

The new ACC rule stipulates that as long as a team has seven available scholarship players and one coach, they are deemed available to play. If a team does not have that number of participants, the game will be declared a no contest. Previously that had been a forfeit.

However, if a team does meet those requirements and decides not to play, the result would then be a forfeit.

DePaul had several of their players test positive right after we played them. No way to determine how to manage the spread especially when the weather becomes cold.

I see a potential trend..
