If the brothel is known as famous then the reputation was earned by word of mouth. Still it's possible those guys were just hopping from place to place and walked in thinking it was a bar. Doubtful but possible. Did they turn around and walk out as soon as they realized it was a brothel? If so, then I believe it was an honest mistake. If they stayed and enjoyed themselves, then the excuse it was a mistake won't hold water.

He states that the establishment they visited is widely known to be Rio's most famous brothel. He implies that he is not buying "that the players entered it thinking it was just a bar".

I'm not buying it either. They knew exactly where they were and went there with one thing in mind, and it wasn't to drink. LOL. I'm not judging them. It's the oldest profession in the world and it's not taboo or illegal in other countries. Hell, it's not illegal in certain places in the United States. It's just real taboo.

The main issue for the NBA is some of their employees were buying sex which brings up character and moral issues for them to deal with. It's all about perception. The players knew that or they wouldn't have bothered making up the excuse they were there by mistake.

It's a story because TMZ follows all 'celebrities' around hoping to get pictures or even video of them compromised in some fashion will catches the attention of their audience. It helps them make money.

All of them should have just ignored TMZ and all questions regarding why they were there. It really isn't anyone's business what they do on their own time as long as they're abiding by the law.
