The correct self imposed actions should have been the resignations of President John Ramsey, Coach Rick Pitino and Athletic Director Tom Jurich. If these guys have any balls at all this should have happened. The NCAA may well have accepted this as punishment and the players on the present team that have nothing to do with this should be allowed to play.

Don't forget to fire Larry Benz(Chairman BOT) and Matt Bevin (Gov of the Commonwealth of Kentucky). They need to go as well.

While we are hacking away, why not fire the resident advisor of Minardi Hall, the Dean of Student Housing, Vice Pres of Student Affairs, the Provost, local UofL police officer on duty, the shift Sargent on duty, the Captain on duty, UofL deputy police chief, UofL Police Chief.

And sense UofL receives federal aid lets get rid of the sec of education and finally POTUS because even though none of these people knew anything about these heinous acts we,apparently, only need to connect some illogical connection of culpability.

Matt bevin is a crooked new england carpetbagger

Crap performance. You call improving the endowment by $600,000,000 dollars a crap performance, leading us in to the ACC, increasing the overall academic profile, leading the biggest economic engine in the region, revitalizing the campus, etc... a crap performance?
Yeah buddy - He gave all that money, didn't he, if your figures are anywhere close to correct. When you have Ramsey getting $3.8 million a year while Mitch Daniels gets $500,000 at Purdue you know there's some home cookin' by the foundation. Hopefully Governor Bevin can clean up that mess. Money wasn't donated for fat salaries and benefits to Ramsey and his assistants - It was donated to benefit the students and university - All the while student tuition goes up while the fat get fatter.

Let's see some evidence.

Major Announcement from the University of Louisville
February 5, 2016

Friends and Colleagues,

When the University first learned of allegations against our men's basketball program, I promised a complete and thorough review of the accusations. I immediately activated the University of Louisville Investigative Committee to receive regular updates from our joint investigation with the NCAA.

Yesterday, as chair of the committee, I received an update on the investigation’s progress. Based upon this information, I determined that it was reasonable to conclude that significant violations had occurred in the men’s basketball program in the past.

After consulting with Director of Athletics Tom Jurich, we made the decision to withhold the men’s basketball program from all conference and NCAA postseason competition following the 2015-16 men’s basketball season. I recognize that this is a significant penalty for our program and will be a disappointment to our student athletes and to many in the UofL family.

While this was a difficult decision, it was made in the best interest of our University community, and I believe we will be stronger because of it. Until this investigation is concluded, we will not be able to speak publicly about its findings, even if that means we’re unable to defend ourselves against inaccurate accusations. I hope you will reserve judgment until we can share the facts.

In the meantime, our University continues its daily focus of educational excellence and service to our community.
Finally, I continue to support Tom Jurich, Coach Pitino and the outstanding student-athletes in our men’s basketball program.

President Jim Ramsey

Gentlemen,

While I do not support Mr. Ramsey in many of his decisions, he appears to be intelligent and does have legal counsel advising him also. I submit some questions you may want to consider before crucifying him.
1. Do you think Mr. Ramsey may be trying to protect the university from more debilitating and multi-year (past and future) sanctions from the NCAA?
2. He does offer support for Mr. Jurich and CRP. However, if the NCAA investigation concludes either knew of the infractions, do you think he might still be able to save the university's reputation?
3. It is my understanding that under the bylaws of the NCAA investigation CRP was not to participate in the process except when asked for information by the NCAA. Is Mr. Ramsey only following the NCAA guidelines by withholding information, or conceivably offering CRP some level of plausible deniability?
4. By concluding significant violations had occurred in the men’s basketball program in the past (we must assume the NCAA has access to this information also), Do you think if a worse case scenario were to exist (underage recruits having sex), Mr. Ramsey is showing a level of remorse the events took place that may mitigate NCAA sanctions?

I do not know the answers to these questions but believe Mr. Ramsey is making the best decisions for the university with the information he has. JMHO.

Turd has spoken. What? Kenny Klein gets a pass?

Actually it's probably all Kenny Klein's fault. Or Bob Dylan.

What does Dylan have to do with it? He was a Minnesota gopher for a semester? It doesn't take a weatherman to know which way the wind blows? Or maybe "lost time is not found again"?

I see Ramsey applauded a lot for the endowment. I have no fundraising experience, but how much is that ability worth in the open market? I think Bobby Petrino's daughter, Kelsey, is a fundraiser. My wife does that for a U of L booster club. Doesn't appear to require a college degree, just a lotta charisma, charm, effort, and connections.

Where am I wrong or understating the ability??...

Pitino gets more for doing less

What the hell crap does this mean?
UofL has won more games the past 4 seasons that at any time in UofL history.

Coach Pitino had the intelligence to bring in two experienced scorers, otherwise this
team would be 12-10, instead of 18-4 and 2nd place in the ACC.

The clown called crapiperi is the one who has had 25 five stars and only 1 title. Thats vastly underwhelming.
Get it straight..........

If you
The endowment was $597 mil a few months before Ramsey, it is now 1.1 billion. That's 500,000,000 mil in 13 years. Ramsey has raise almost the same amount it took every president before him combined.
If you have anything to substantiate your figures please show it. You started out saying 600 million and now say 500 million. People donate because they think something good will be done with the money, not because they want somebody grossly profiting off of it. With this NCAA Katina Powell mess the overpaid big shots stay and the players take the hit.

According to a report on WDRB 41, President Ramsey informed the university board of trustees 15 minutes before the press conference of his decision. According to the report, this may have violated open door laws. In another report on WDRB 41, some of the foundation members want Ramsey removed. The lack of transparency on the basketball situation is incredible. This could cost thousands if not millions of dollars in donations.

Provide a direct quote from a BOT member saying he/she wants Ramsey removed.

According to the Courier Journal, one time director of the University of Louisville Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine Perry Vaughn plead guilty to stealing $2.8 million from the university as well as tax fraud and embezzlement charges. According to the Courier Journal, at least six different university employees have been accused of stealing money from the school from 2009 to 2013. As of this past December 2015 there is an investigation in the Medical School.

That's an awesome scattergun you're using there, Turd. If you keep firing away, maybe you'll get yourself a kill shot from your recliner and finally be able to lose your pose as a UofL fan. Then monkeys will fly out your butt too, so you win. It's a jackpot you're heading for!

Spending at UofL is a public record. If you want to see what others claim, instead of sitting on your butt whining about someone else doing the work, why not use your computer to find out what the truth of the matter is. It baffles me that someone making the suspicious claims toward a poster with an obvious advantage of knowing the actual figures, falls under your electric gaze and laser-like focus, lol.

Do your own work now and then. Or, hell, you can just continue to be The Turd.

You've never NOT been entertaining.

I think we know who doesn't care if the donations to the university get wasted. All of they have is name calling.
