Conference Comissioners on NIL

They had Commissioners from the Big 12, B1G, SEC and the ACC on news talking about NIL. They all want Congress to get involved and regulate the payment scale. They all think it is out of control and the smaller schools will suffer. They want Congress involved because the states can set different laws on this from other states. Ted Cruz thinks the NCAA should solve the problem by themselves.

Big 12 spends 3.3 million per year in payments to football players.
ACC spends 4.6 million per year.
B1G spends 5.2 million per year.
SEC spends 14.4 million per year.

Why don’t the commissioners just go into a room and figure it out themselves? By all means, don’t let two of the most corrupt and incompetent organizations known to man, Congress and the NCAA, anywhere near this.
