This is another major shift that is occurring along with transfers and NIL. A reality check since 1998 Louisville would have made the new playoff just twice. You could make an argument they would of made it 2 more times.

I think we are entering a new era of Louisville football. The ACC is the best conference for Louisville. The path to the top is manageable. Getting away from Clemson annually was big.
Here is the path-
Recruiting-Have to have HS recruiting classes in the top 5 of ACC consistently. Transfers have to maintain starters add key pieces. Also Freshman have to play early, they don’t have to start but need to get time.
Coaches have to keep key coaches. Over pay if you have to. All coaches have to be recruiters. Always start in SEC. Sounds like Crime Dog maybe going to Auburn. Not good if it happens. His replacement needs SEC ties.
On field performance has to be good. Small window of opportunity to tie success to the NIL brand. I said last year was incredibly important for Satterfield earn another year because of this class. Next year and the following are just as important. If he nails it fan trust will be gained back. Even if he leaves the program is on a great path.
He lands this class and finds legit grad transfer QB next year could be really good and 2024 even better.
