These players seem to love coach Satt, as a fan that’s all I need to hear, they still believe in him and want him as their HC then so should all of the fans.
Plenty of players - like the ones he recruited - “loved” and wanted kragthorpe to remain their HC.These players seem to love coach Satt, as a fan that’s all I need to hear, they still believe in him and want him as their HC then so should all of the fans.
If you don’t want to play for your coach, nor do you believe in him you get what we saw in 2018 with BP. It MATTERS.Plenty of players - like the ones he recruited - “loved” and wanted kragthorpe to remain their HC.
That’s why these decisions are not left to 18-22 year olds.
Might have been the difference between getting beaten by 20 instead of 40 but either way - those were all going to be losses. If you don’t want to play for your coach, nor do you believe in him you get what we saw in 2018 with BP. It MATTERS.
Louisville has 1 20 point loss this season, thank you come again. Although that loss was an awful loss to GT this defense is miles better then 2018 allowing 17ppg less and also 150 YPG less. People seem to forget really how bad BP left the place.Might have been the difference between getting beaten by 20 instead of 40 but either way - those were all going to be losses.
Did leave them with Dez Fitzpatrick, Becton, Hawkins, Atwell, and MicaleLouisville has 1 20 point loss this season, thank you come again. I’m talking about petrino’s last season.Louisville has 1 20 point loss this season, thank you come again. Although that loss was an awful loss to GT this defense is miles better then 2018 allowing 17ppg less and also 150 YPG less. People seem to forget really how bad BP left the place.
Notice how you said all offensive players, also Micale looked pretty sorry with BP, but he was left some talent obviously but he also has shown he knows how to scout and develop talent with is time at App st. That was with a lower tier program where they only got a few 3 stars per year. I have no doubt he will bring in some studs.Did leave them with Dez Fitzpatrick, Becton, Hawkins, Atwell, and Micale
Now let’s see what he does with someone he brings in himself.
I - along with many others I’d imagine - have serious doubts about that. And that was before this week’s debacle.I have no doubt he will bring in some studs.
2018, like this one but for different reasons, should have an asterisk by it. The players quit, coaches quit, it was a lost season. You’d be wise to keep 2018 out of your references.Louisville has 1 20 point loss this season, thank you come again. There are some 2*’s with loads of potential, however. Satt will coach them up. Though, that’ll be hard to do at Chapel Hill in a season or two.I - along with many others I’d imagine - have serious doubts about that. And that was before this week’s debacle.
Are there any 4* or 5*s that are currently committed?
The same players underperforming during a 3-7 season? Maybe they can all transfer to UNC when Scott leaves for there.Coach Satterfield clearly (and admittedly) botched the whole situation, including the apology press conference. But based on the large number of players showing their love and support for him on Twitter, I’m going to follow their lead and give the man a pass and move forward with a positive attitude. Looking forward to a great effort against Wake Forest, a strong recruiting class, and significant improvement next year. L’s up. Go Cards!
Yes there actually is a couple 4 stars in this class dependent on which site you go by, Jaraye Williams, Ben Perry, Trevion Cooley, and Michael Gonzalez are all rated a 4* on at least one of the 3 sites, majority of them on 2-3 sites.I - along with many others I’d imagine - have serious doubts about that. Well since we’re on Rivals - I’ll use their rankings. Only Williams ranks as a 4*. We’ll see if he (or the other higher rated recruits) signs.Yes there actually is a couple 4 stars in this class dependent on which site you go by, Jaraye Williams, Ben Perry, Trevion Cooley, and Michael Gonzalez are all rated a 4* on at least one of the 3 sites, majority of them on 2-3 sites.
That’s fine at a small conference.Notice how you said all offensive players, also Micale looked pretty sorry with BP, but he was left some talent obviously but he also has shown he knows how to scout and develop talent with is time at App st. I guess now we have to look at level of expectation for next season. While the players views matter and need to be considered, you can't really make that the biggest deal. Tell me the last time you heard that the players didn't support their coach.... even when it was obvious the coach needed to go, or the coach acted wrong. As was stated, the players were in support of Kragthorp, and UK players supported Joker, etc...
While i have lost respect for CSS, i think under the current circumstances he has to be retained for next year. But i don't think saying the players support him has any effect for me.
Why? Because a bunch of them tweeted a thumbs up? Translation: coach you’re doing a great job and don’t forget I want to start next year... That’s all it comes down to anymoreThese players seem to love coach Satt, as a fan that’s all I need to hear, they still believe in him and want him as their HC then so should all of the fans.
He was a RS not a true freshman, but yea they were left some offensive talent, no denying that. That’s fine at a small conference.
But he never beat a single power 5 school at App State. Most of that conference were teams that moved up from FCS, so the FBS transition wasn’t as hard. System already in place. He did coach well, but that’s a different situation.
Micale was also a true freshman in 2018, and he didn’t look that bad for a true freshman.
I’m just saying, he can’t say Bobby didn’t leave him nothing. He left him some talented skill guys and the best offensive line player in the country. Defense was awful. Locker room morale was in shreds.
Scott now has to prove a lot. If he wins big, he can interview for any job. But if you haven’t even done anything that special while looking at schools like SC, I’m gonna be harder.
Most of the guys that came out and talked about that are players that are going to be gone last year and or were previous players as well. No one is going to get a starting spot because of a tweet, you sound ridiculous. Why? Because a bunch of them tweeted a thumbs up? Actually that’s not a bad schedule. Except for Clemson, there isn’t an unwinnable game.I guess now we have to look at level of expectation for next season.
We lost Tutu, Hawkins, and Fitzpatrick. The offense will be DOWN. So is 6-6 the minimum or will we accept 5-7?
We have EKU, Ole Miss, UCF, & sUcKs in non-conference. That's 3 possible losses right there alone.
ACC road games Florida State, NC State, Wake, & Duke
ACC Home Games Clemson, BC, Cuse, & UVA
A lot of games that could go either way. I think we'll have a great idea of how things are going by the end of next season, because if Scott can get us to a 8-4 type record then I feel like the momentum is big. But, if we fal to a 4-8 or 5-7 it's gonna look like we aren't making great steps.
At a minimum EKU, Cuse, & Duke have to be wins. Then go find 4-5 more wins.
Don’t pretend that everyone’s sitting around the campfire singing kumbaya either. All you have to do is look at the transfer portal. Most of the guys that came out and talked about that are players that are going to be gone last year and or were previous players as well. You’ve enjoyed this losing season more than other losing seasons, or more than any other season? Me, personally, losing sucks, and this program, which has fought and clawed from the depths of obscurity since Howard took the job, deserves better. Now, we all understand. This year is different. Next year, if it’s not successful, Scott will need to exit. While the support of the players is nice to hear, and I couldn't really care less if a human being wishes to talk to another human being about a legitimate business opportunity; I'll say that I find the attitude of the players refreshing even with this losing season. My eyes may be fooling me, but there seems to be a genuine love of the game by our guys in the form of no apparent internal conflicts, never giving up, positive attitude. I've enjoyed this losing season more than any other. Every winning coach we get is going to talk to SEC schools if given the opportunity, get over it; even Sat gets some attention in this season of poor w/l results.
Also, having a head coach who is not the best at PR is something I'm ok with...let him stumble his way thru a presser, I really don't think the young men he's teaching FB to really care either.
Yeah they were recruited by a different coach that told them sweet nothings and showed them how they’d be used... new coach comes around, their play style doesn’t fit what the new coaches like and they are deep on the depth chart. Happens all of the time when a new coach comes in.Don’t pretend that everyone’s sitting around the campfire singing kumbaya either. All you have to do is look at the transfer portal.
If you told most anyone connected with U of L in late 2018 that the football team under Satterfield would have 5 or 6 wins in Year Three of his tenure, that would have been a disappointment......So is 6-6 the minimum or will we accept 5-7 [next year]?...
That is (or should be) always a disappointment. However, we can’t go changing coaches every few years. It took Satterfield a while at App St, it took Dabo a while at Clemson, so we have to at least see him through his contract. If you told most anyone connected with U of L in late 2018 that the football team under Satterfield would have 5 or 6 wins in Year Three of his tenure, that would have been a disappointment...
losing sucks, but it's worse when you see infighting and poor attitude, players giving up...so I've enjoyed this losing season more than other losing seasons. The Krag years were pure torture and CBP's last season was really hard to watch. You’ve enjoyed this losing season more than other losing seasons, or more than any other season?
