Clemson game thoughts

Anyone watched them this year? Thoughts on what you expect? I haven't watched them since the game last year.

I expect to see Hicks starting at PG playing 20-25 minutes. I imagine teams will try to press Mitchell when he's in with Deng and VJ. The Q timeline seems like trademark Pitino Speak, so I expect him back for the NC State game on 1/29.

Blossingame is a difficult matchup and they have size this year.

I've seen them play twice and they look good, they had UNC on the ropes in Chapel Hill.

They almost beat UNC at Clemson and almost beat Notre Dame in South Bend. They have a good schedule and they have won their share and were very tuff in the games they lost.

As always within the ACC you gotta bring it, as there is no night off in the ACC. This is another example of that.

Clemson is a team record wise you would think isn't a very good team at all, but that is far from the case. They have some good players all the way around, their top player, one of the top in the ACC, is Blossomgame who nccard mentioned above. They have lost some close games to tough opponents, ND and UNC to name a couple (and on the road).

If we don't come to play we may take a loss in this one. As long as we come to play though I expect an 8-12 point win.

Adel will be good some day. He is starting to turn his light on. Mitchell will not be here next season.

My concern is we are scoring on great individual play, not via ball movement and assists. Relying on individual talent to win out is a tough proposition when the level of opponent goes up...like when we play FSU. Fortunately, the defense has solidified after a slow start.

Adel will be good some day. He is starting to turn his light on. Mitchell will not be here next season.

King needs clock. Period. It helps him learn better.

Yea if this keeps up, Mitchell is for sure gone. Good we have these recruits coming in. King looks really offensively confident. Improve defense IQ and he's great. You can just tell he will be a star. Just like Dakich is saying. And Adel is on fire tonight. If he was this consistent, thatd be awesome

When Adel's shot is falling he's a real asset.

What he needs to realize is he doesn't have to shoot lights out every night to contribute. There are other ways he can help the team.

His issue is confidence, he gets down on himself when his shot isn't falling, and it impacts the rest of his game. This is what leads to his inconsistency.

Very impressive win by the Cards tonight. Those buckets by Mitchell late in the 1st half sealed it.

I hope the ACC doesn't suspend him. League is so soft, except when they play favorites like with Grayson who does far more dangerous things including many subtle moves that don't get talked about at all.

Wow I did not expect a 30 point blowout by the Cards but glad to see it. Mitchell is playing with so much confidence right now. If he can keep up this level of play then he won't be here next season. Loved seeing Adel shoots lights out. I really liked seeing King get some quality PT, score, play some D, and have a big smile while out there on the court. Hope it helps his confidence.

Also good to see Hicks get some run and make the most of it. Hoping this is a blessing in disguise and that the extra PT some of these guys are getting will pay dividends later this season and post season.

The only thing I noticed last night at the game with Adel is that you can tell sometimes that he has already made his mind up to shoot and lowers his head going to the basket. Mitchell keeps his head up and sees other players.

Its funny over on Catspiss they are saying how pathetic Clemson is and trying to delegitimize the blowout win. One Blue idiot even told them to make sure they bet Clemson because Clemson is good then he changes his tune later in the post as the Cards put the beat down on them. Clemson has beaten three of their SEC brethren including one of the better teams in their conference in South Carolina (I know that's not saying much, it is SEC basketball) Id rather watch the toilet flush over and over than watch SEC basketball, ever.

Yet they boast about struggling with Miss st and it being such a tough game and MSU have lost to UCF, Lehigh, east Tenn st, and Alabama. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah
