You wouldnt be sitting out. Sandy bell could have got Genghis khan eligible.

LAHAINA, HAWAII

The eligibility saga of Kansas freshman Cheick Diallo has stretched on for more than six months and cost the university close to “six figures” in institutional investment, according to a document obtained by The Star on Saturday.

The letter details a case that includes Diallo, Kansas’ top recruit in the 2015 class, and the NCAA’s ongoing evaluation of Our Savior New American, the private school in Centereach, N.Y., where Diallo attended for 3 1/2 years. In the letter, Zenger calls the NCAA’s conduct in the case “egregious” and calls for Diallo to be ruled eligible immediately.

According to the letter, “The NCAA has never set foot on OSNAS property,” despite requests from Kansas officials to do so.

I know you know why Kerry but I wonder how many really know? The truth is Sandy Bell is a former NCAA employee and she has a good working relationship with the people who make the decisions about who is eligible and who isn't.

The good news is she is getting old, and her connections are too. They'll all be gone soon enough.

They'll be reconstituted under the next coach or the coach following him.
SuCkS, like bama football, cant win unless they "procure" the top talent.

He graduated from a "school" that apparently was created for him, and his handler did that too (along with shopping him around to the highest bidder) from what I was told. Is that not true?
He went to Lausanne High for his senior year. If you'd read any of the articles in the national publications, it's been made very apparent, for a very long time, that his academics are not in question. The school that you were talking about was an ad hoc prep organization his handler put together to give him a team to play on - it has nothing to do with any classes. People do this stuff all the time for home schooled kids.

The shopping rumors that you mention are what were being investigated.

And it's a joke that Diallo is not cleared - he's a bright, hard working kid. But if UK had some perfect connection, then Kanter would've been cleared as well. He's a doctor's kid who speaks many languages, too, who made a Mcdonald's wage in Turkey for room + board and a stipend, just like the new college rules, and was prepared to give it back.

Um, ok. The whole premise of the "student-athlete" is nothing but a punch line today anyway. Kanter was a professional and even the connections Bell has couldn't overlook it. That's why he wasn't cleared.

Labissiere was bought and paid for. His handler was smart enough to get him in the right circles so the payment could be well hidden from everyone, to include the NCAA much like the Davis recruitment/payment was done. It's not any type of conspiracy that I'm talking about. It's just the way it's done by some programs who claim to be college programs when they're not.

I think NCAA is a joke. I think "student-athlete" is a joke... it was phrase coined by the NCAA to avoid paying insurance or worker's comp claims... nothing to actually do with athletics. And when you see past players who can't string two sentences together, clearly academics is not a priority. And the NCAA enforcement is a joke as well... Diallo and KU are getting punished for items outside their control or influence.

But come on Cue, are you seriously drinking that Kool-Aid? Skal was investigated and cleared... if UK was as corrupt as you think, they would have been sunk by now. And with the spotlight on Skal... don't you think something would have come to light?

Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis was founded in 1926.

Skal's guardian was in question due to rumors of him shopping him around (started by a jilted local Memphian). The NCAA ruled this was in fact rumors and his academics were more than enough to get cleared.

The KU player is all about academics and guardian issues.

A McDonalds stipend? The amount was at least $100,000 dollars. No wonder Big Macs are so expensive.

You should go to the ncaa with all this hard hitting evidence you have. I love the Davis and Skal and this player and that player were all bought and paid for. Also the way you state it as fact, you must have the evidence at your house because nobody else has seen it. What are you waiting for? Why haven't you sent this info "to the right people" yet? I guess I will just anxiously wait for you to decide when to ruin Cal and Kentucky.

The NCAA is part of it. They simply choose to ignore it like you and everyone else who has a vested interest or love for the UofK Wildcats. The NCAA won't do anything because of the money UofK generates for the NCAA organization. The ONLY way they'll act is if they're forced to act and not before. You have nothing to worry about though. If and when something has to come out, the connection your GOD has inside will let him know in plenty of time so he can bolt just like he did at UMass and Memphis. UofK will pay the price. Not Calipari.

you mean like Enes Kanter?

The school Skal attended is one of the more highly respected private schools in Memphis for academics. I'm surprised to still be reading things like this over here.

Was Calipari and WWW behind Gillispie getting fired. UK called Calipari, Calipari didn't "bolt" to UK.

Gillispie got Gillispie fired for being a drunk. Calipari got the call and left Memphis right before Memphis got slammed for violations. Low and behold, Calipari wasn't held accountable for any of it. He skipped out and left Memphis holding the bag 24 hours after telling the people of Memphis that he loved it there, and wasn't going anywhere. Remember?

He'll do it to UofK too IF it ever comes to that. He won't stick around and take the heat. He doesn't have the stones for it.

So first, I corrected you on your factual error.

Then you came back, and for the most part, didn't contradict anything I said - you even linked an article that stated exactly what I stated - that the handler was rumored to be asking how to make money off of him.

The only difference is that you used that info which I already had introduced to make the factual proclamation that Labissiere was bought.

IOW, your link backs up 100% of what I said, and only the least important part of what you said - the rest is your own speculation.

Then you go on to talk about how this is clearly how things are done at "certain schools", using far less actual, demonstrable evidence than what you choose to ignore about your own school's alleged underhanded recruiting practices.

Or do ESPN and the NCAA take your issues more seriously than UK's because those institutions just like UK much more than Louisville? That's probably it, huh? Mark Emmert just goes to bed every night hugging his Cal pillow, I bet.

Don't really care here but something struck me as funny. The fact that all these people have "facts" to back up everything is hilarious. Like one poster said, take it to the right people. Everyone is saying that Pitino is guilty for the stripper fiasco!! But of course on this board that's all false and they are just trying to "get" Louisville. The point is there is no facts in either the recruitment of UK players (so far) or strippers at Louisville (so far). Each fan base is going to defend their own and bash the other. With this being said I hate the NCAA. The NCAA is more corrupt than any college in America!! I am a UK fan but this is the way I see it. I never really get into these discussions because I don't like to flame or troll. I like talking sports. I apologize if you guys feel this is trolling but its not. Just my opinion. Good luck with the season.

Kinda reaching.

Kid gets his eligibility--how do we make this about Kentucky?!

How is this an actual discussion given the Kanter situation?

The difference is there is proof of what happened at one school but only made up stories by rival fans about what's going on at the other school. Can you guess which is which?
And yes, the NCAA is as corrupt as Enron.

If you are referring to Kanter Ill agree with you 100%. The Davis situation that someone mentioned earlier I don't buy for one bit (Proof that is). This is what I will say though. I take a lot of heat from my own for this but I don't think there is one clean D-1 program in America to be honest. Whether it be Louisville, UK, Duke, Kansa, etc. I think they are all corrupt in some way or another when it comes to recruiting. I just don't let it get to me because I love watching the game in general. Players are players. Someone wins and someone loses and you just hope that the team you root for gets the W. If not life goes on. Always next time. People tend to forget that in this state.

It blows my mind that some of you actually believe this crap. The NCAA makes money on the NCAA tournament. With or without Kentucky they make millions from the TV deals. The crap you all are suggesting we do to get players would leave evidence everywhere. We are the most scrutinized program in the country, yet nothing poos up with all these journalist s who would want nothing more than to bring down Cal and uk . oh its the boogyman WWW.
