CBS Ranks Top 15 College Basketball Jobs

If we're such a top job why did we settle for somebody with no head coach experience we should be able to get anybody

I truly don't understand why anyone from top programs pay this drivel any attention. These rankings are always purely based on popularity. I mean, Arizona and Villanova in the top 10. Let's see, Arizona is the perennially flame out, and Villanova finally after many years got two titles. But, as sure as I'm typing this response, without Jay Wright they will fade back into obscurity. Oh and by the way, Gonzaga a top 12 program, but they flame out every year. Oh, Okkkkk....

In fairness to these rankings, it is not about winning the NC, or for that matter how these schools finish ….. just look at the UK flameout for further evidence; losing to St Peters in first round will be recognized as one, if not the most humiliating NCAA Tournament loss of all time …… yet no reasonable and objective observer would question the UK program job as top 3 or 4.

UL is now, and has historically been viewed as a top ten BB Program. In fact most viewed UL as top 5 In the 80s. Name other schools with 2 HOF Head Coaches that were also identified in the top 5 for attendance over the last 40 years.
