#4 University of Louisville women's basketball brings in Eastern Kentucky to the KFC Yum! Center tonight. The game will tip off at 8 p.m. ET and broadcast on the ACC Network and 790-AM WKRD. Angel McCoughtry, the only Louisville women’s basketball player to have her jersey retired, will be in attendance as analyst for the broadcast on ACC Network

Tickets for Thursday’s game are still available and fans can enjoy $4 draft beer and $3 sodas. In addition, fans can cheer on UofL volleyball in the Final Four against Wisconsin as the match will broadcast on the big screen in the KFC Yum! Center. Fans can also bring new, unwrapped toys for the Western Kentucky Drive, which will be donated to families in Western Kentucky.

Eastern Kentucky is 4-5 this year and will be plying their second back-to-back road contest. The Colonels won at Morehead State 66-43. The Colonels are under the guidance of first year head coach Greg Todd, who spent the previous seven seasons as the head coach at Morehead State. EKU finished 9-15 last year and returns four starters.

Jayla Johnson returns after averaging a team-high 13.5 points per game a season ago and being named second team all-OVC and to the all-newcomer team. She leads the Colonels this season with 15.4 points and ranks third on the team with 6.0 rebounds. Alice Recanati averages 8.5 points and a team-high 4.1 assists per game, while Ariel Kirkwood chips in 8.5 points and a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game.

A game that was originally set up to bring former EKU head coach and former UoL WBB assistant coach Samantha Williams home. Sam is an assistant at Tennessee now.

My guess is Walz will give his starters a good run and start substituting liberally as the game progresses.

It should be a fun one at the YUM! tonight and you get Volleyball as a bonus if you go!
