The Cards were ordinary at best and came into the Houston game very vanilla! UofL, once again struggled with the running game leaving Lamar Jackson (qb) predictable. The Offenses turnovers hurt the Cards and kept us in the dark. Tom Herman's (Houston) team were very active and their defense flew all over the field. Uofl's Cards were a 2 TD favorite and acted like an FCS team. The farris wheel with the Card's Qb situation is hurting the Cards Offense. Kyle Bolin, IMO, should be the qb because he is more active and accurate and less intimidated than the other Qbs at this point. He doesn't panic and has better decision making skills than (RB) and more accurate with the long ball pass. Lamar Jackson can chuck it a mile but the longer the pass the less control and accuracy and chances for interceptions, as seen. WR'S James Quick and TE Hicotini is needed sorely. The Offensive line is making progress but has lapses with unneeded penalties which seem to stall the Offenses efforts.

The Cards Defense had problems containing Houston's (Greg Ward) There plays that were spot on, but lapses in containment and stopping Houston's rushing attack were problems for the Cards.

Yes, the Cards are a VERY youthful team and in the 2015 season the Cards fans are going to have to very patient with our team. The season will be long but not without making progress and we should not give up on them!

I thought the defense played pretty decent for the most part. They were worn out in the 4th quarter for being on the field for most of the game. Houston's rushing attack wore them down. When the defense would get a stop, then the offense would just turn the ball right back over and put our defense back on the field to get tired some more. When the offense finally started moving the ball with Bolin, it was all ready too late, the defense was all ready exhausted.

Now their arm tackling needs to be fixed, and all the young stupid mistakes need to be fixed, like fumbling interceptions that should have been a pick 6, and jumping offsides. They got burnt deep a few times.

I give Houston's qb credit though. He made plays happen out of nothing, and appeared more mobile than our qb. He found holes and hit them hard.

We could have won this game if not for all the fumbles, interceptions, penalties, missed field goal or block, dropped passes in the endzone, etc. Was that entirely the defense's fault?

Houston's QB just deserves a little more credit and respect than We are giving him. Houston was/is a tough team even back when We were in the AAC. Don't sleep on their team like our team did.

It was almost like We were looking past them for Clemson.
