in terms of going form a chance for a drive to win, to a gauranteed loss, to a guaranteed win in less than 25 seconds? have we ever won a game on a hail mary? have we ever won the game in the last second where we weren't already driving down the field to win the game? we have lost so many of these situations that i cannot think of a single moment in cards football history where the outcome changed so dramatically in our favor. a few in bball maybe, but what are the games that compare in level of turnaround in short time?

You're right. I can think of several that happened against us but none for us. I'm sure there is one, just can't remember. Wasn't there a fumble return by Earl Heyman when the other team was in FG range? That scenario seems familiar.

2000, UK @ PJCS. Late in the 4th, the game is tied 34-34. Cards are driving for the game winning FG. Ragone fumbles and UK takes it to the 2 yard line with 47 seconds to play. Cards stop them short of the goal line 3 straight plays. They then block chip shot of a FG. Overtime! First play of OT, Lorenzen (RIP) throws a pick. 2nd play of OT, Tony Stallings runs 25 yards for game winning TD. Cards win 40-34. Pretty dramatic, exciting game. <EDIT> I just rewatched the 2000 UK game. That was one bonkers game. My memory almost precisely served me well. Lorenzen's INT happened on the 2nd play of OT, not the first.

Imagine feeling the elation of the UCF game 7 different times in 47 game seconds plus the first three plays of OT. Up and down, back and forth. I, obviously, still haven’t recovered.

I’m digging back thru the memory file and it’s nowhere, yet. Thanks for the great dig. 😑📂

Did you just age me? This injustice shall not stand. Seriously, though, the 2000 UK game was amazing. So was ‘02 FSU.

Ok! The lightening storm game. My spouse went up to get drinks and then all hell broke loose. I was soaked, he was all comfy in dry clothes standing there with our drinks. I wanted to pour my water and his beer over his head. 🤣

I was traveling out of town Saturday and had sports radio on and a lot of people saw the Louisville vs UCF game and they were talking about it. They were talking about how exciting the game was and I was so glad we were on the winning side of all that talk.

a familiar feeling but not the end of the game, but home vs miami in 2006 they scored, we muffed a punt i think, and they were about to score again, the entire stadium was hushed like i'd never felt before, like we were going to be crushed again and the game hadn't even started, then a fumble inside the 5, we recover and the ass stomping began. here's the memory if you want to relive it...

The video was from 2013 when we thumped Miami. It bought back some sad memories about losing Michael Bush for the season and Brian for a while. Two local kids who made a huge impact on our program and what could have been if Bush would of never gotten hurt.

CardX; I was at both games; the Stallings OT TD run was one of the most satisfying wins I can remember, and the win over FSU in the rain storm was equally as great. WTS, the Sugar Bowl win exceeded my expectations and will forever be the best one for me.
