Ledford got blown out by UK and GT too. Remember, he’s on the staff too Bud.I’m done with this guy one way or the other. As hard as it will be to find a guy who gets blown out by UK and GT, I think we can manage. I’d hire Ledford the nanosecond he leaves and my fingers are crossed that’s what happens
K “bud.” By that logic Jeff Brohm was equally responsible for the losses suffered while on Kragthorpe’s staff.Ledford got blown out by UK and GT too. Remember, he’s on the staff too Bud.
And he got fired for it. He had to go be an OC and HC at WKU first.K “bud.” By that logic Jeff Brohm was equally responsible for the losses suffered while on Kragthorpe’s staff.
He’s been a line coach almost all of his coaching career after playing DL in college. He’s listed as co offensive coordinator but I doubt he’s not calling the plays. I like his fire as a rah rah guy but need to see more than that as a HC.I think Ledford is a fantastic coach - is he ready to run an entire program? And - who’s to say we wouldn’t be in the exact same spot with him in two years?
Promoting assistants makes sense on occasion, as you probably are aware, when you have a leader worthy of the big job and you are trying to promote continuity. You live and breathe data, so I’ll leave the compilation of that to guys like you. I’ll go with man-alytics over analytics. I see a leader, a guy who recruits, a guy who players love and a guy who played the game at the highest level. I’d rather have him in charge than visor boy.So how well is the O-line doing this year? Statistically, the offense overall is no better than last year.
Of course, our department has probably regressed to the point where we're simply promoting assistants in all of the sports when we have a head coaching vacancy. Wonderful...
