i am all for it!!!! and at the same time that means every bit of tax income created in jefferson county from comanies like GE, Ford, Humana, UPS, etc etc etc all stays here and the rest of the state gets absolutely nothing. Then all the folks in the heartland will really understand what socialism means to them in that they get tons of money from out side their counties, and most of that comes from our county. let them all go broke and start crying they have no jobs, income, healthcare, or future. watch lexington and frankfort crap their pants realizing all the money louisville generated for the state. show them since they want smaller government we'll give it to them. they can govern themsleves. so bring it on and the good news is the river is one of our sides and there's no way the wall blocks that border and thus we still get all our goods and raw materials delivered by boat. so yes let's build that wall and rid ourselves of bbn.

I have to wonder if he actually has a degree from uahkay. The economics of a "wall around Louisville" would break Lexington and the rest of the state. And I'm 110% behind the move. Build it sooner rather than later so long as we get to keep ALL of our momey.

I guess the shirt worked since its intent was to get an angry reaction. It's a joke and a funny/harmless shirt. Plus, there are more UK fans in Louisville than there are Louisville fans so I'd like to keep them all in the state ;)

Spare me the "We aren't angry we just find it laughable that UK fans really want to do that considering what Louisville does for the state" He made the shirt to get a reaction, and judging by the responses it seems the Hefty Lefty did his job.

Hoptown your ignorance is appalling. Please furnish us the figures on "there are more uahkay fans in Louisville than there are Louisville fans". You cannot do that because the statement is totally incorrect and false.

WRONG in so many ways.
There are not more UK fans in Louisville the UL fans. That fallacy has been spouted by UK fans lots of times and has been proven false.

Second, I am not angry. I support the idea.

third, he did not make the shirt to get a reaction; he made the shirt to make money, hoping UK fans would buy it. The people who buy it and wear it are the ones who hope for a reaction.

I think it is so adorable when UK fans try to act smart.

It actually would be cheaper to build the wall around Louisville than it would be to build it around that fat slob lorenzen.

"Youre going to need a bigger wall"

When i travel and meet people and they ask me where i'm from i'll say Louisville and they'll either say "where's that or is that in Kentucky" and my answer is always the same, I say
"we are between Indiana and Kentucky" Hell yeah build that wall.

Dumbest post of the year.

okay, just a thought, but if drones are basically going to be delivering any and all products in the future, doesn't that mean if you build a wall around anything any drone can simply fly over it? and if the drone(s) are powerful enough, which they are, cannot any human simply take a drone ride over said wall? already been done

and another thought, what was the purpose of the wall around jefferson county, to keep BBN from invading our county so they are building it to keep themselves out?, or to keep our citizens from entering BBN? either way i think we are all perfectly happy with the end result. whose property line is the wall on, ours or theirs?

Hmmmmmmmm . . . Maybe, just maybe, the wall would serve the same purpose as the stupiid "wall proposal" being bandied about in Washington. Actually, "our" wall would KEEP ALL OF OUR MONEY here in the state of Jefferson? :D;)

What they don't understand is that the counties surrounding Louisville and Jefferson County (Hardin, Meade, Spencer, Shelby, Bullitt, Henry, Oldham), would want the wall built around them as well...There's no way that they'll be neighbors but not be able to partake in the financial fruits of the tax base.

BUILD THE WALL...#U@K YALL!!!

HAHAHAHAHA! Look at the moron go. It has been proven several times over that UofL fans outnumber bluenecks in the city of Louisville and in Jefferson county as a whole. Sure, there are several uk fans but don't kid youself thinking you even come close to half much less outnumber UofL fans here. Just because there's always some blue turd in a UofL punch bowl doesn't make you a majority.

Can we get this wall thing going like today people? Unfortunately, I have several family and friends who are UofL fans out in the state so we need to make sure they get in but extreme vetting is needed to keep out inbreeders like this guy above.

Well. I live in Lexington but have tons of family in Louisville. I think both are fantastic places. But since folks are trashing Lex abd easter kentucky I'll give you the facts. You need coal. You don't want eastern kentucky, rather you need eastern kentucky.

As for lexongton, it simply needs nothing from anyone. It is the progressive center of state. 20% of population of Lex has masters or PHD. Louisville cannot touch that. And toyota and UK are maybe biggest employers in state. Lexington now has top two rated hospitals in state.

Folks louivllie is a great town. But lexington does not take a back seat and certainly needs no tax support from louisville.

Well, maybe Lexington should secede from the State as well. Because the STATE sure as hell needs Louisville's tax dollars. And because the State receives that money from Louisville, the slappies in Frankfort can funnel money disproportionately LPT's way. So indirectly, it's a helluva lotta U of L fans funding LPT as well.

We'll also keep Churchill Downs open eight months a year and legalize gambling. My guess is we'll work around our need for coal...

Your gonna hate this but I agree. We need off coal and we need legalized gaming. All for it. But every large urban center in the US can say the rural areas are a drain. But we need food.

While Walmart is Kentucky's biggest employer, UPS and Humana are the biggest Manufacturers/Service & Technology Firms. Guess how many of the Top 25 are located in Louisville? I am a UK graduate and love Lexington, FTR.

You should do a little homework on employers/employees. I'd say that the uahkay is probably the largest employer in the Lexington area (continuing the sucking from the state teet which JEFFERSON COUNTY feeds). Also you probably forgot about the TWO Ford plants in Jefferson County plus GE now has more than 6,500 employees. Hey I've not even mentioned UPS that employs over 20,000. Did you even think before you wrote that crappola? Obviously not. And, by the way, UofL is one of the top ten employers in Jefferson County and a great many of those folks have their PHDs and Masters. Plus the Jefferson County Public Schools (over 100,000 students) employs a few "college educated" folks also. Do you have enough yet?

You're an idiot if you believe that crap you just spit out!!!

Louisville has no Need for Eastern Kentucky coal!!!

Being the progressive center is NOT a Badge of Honor...It's a Sewer of Sin!!!

Being IGNORANT of FACTS (largest employer), and ARROGANT concerning your IGNORANCE of those FACTS prove that you're not one of those so called 20% individuals!!!

Now, about your 20% BS...Louisville Metro is Six Times the size of Lexington Metro... thus a 10-15% Advance Degree Population in Louisville DWARFS the number of people in Lexington with an Advanced Degree...Lexington and the rest of the state WOULD die a slow death without Louisville Metros Tax Base...Now SIT DOWN and STFU!!!

Its canebreak.
The infamous miami football/SuCkS basketball fan, who hates UofL.
Dont take him seriously.

Canebreak is too busy to respond. He's doing some more crazy research about who's supporting the state.
Maybe he will be back once he figures out that Lexington has a higher percentage of Masters and PHDs because the population comparison to Louisville isn't even close. It's easy to cherry pick stats when you are comparing a cherry to an apple. Guess who's city is steadily growing that percentage faster because their students stay in the city they went to school? Lexington is a nice horse town. It's also full of pretentious assholes and a limited job pool unless you're into equine or agricultural positions. I visit my sister and brother-in-law there about once a year. He's a crew leader at Toyota and a huge uk fan. His oldest son, my nephew, graduated from uk. None of them like living in Lexington. My nephew left Lexington to pursue a job elsewhere. It's the norm.

When Slapd!ck U. was founded in the mid-1800s, there were around 10,000 people residing in Lexington vs. about 80,000 in Louisville at that time. IOW, Lexington developed as a college town; hence, it has more college grads by percentage.

Louisville developed as an industrial, rust-belt town, and U of L was a blip on the radar until the last fifty years or so. U of L and Louisville is a very unique situation where the town preceded the university that now dominates.

Even a slappy can understand those differences.

"Elite program," my a$$...
