Yeah - These "reporters" are important. They won't be on the floor, and the fans and recruits are concerned about who wins the game.
Bill Lamb will pay the price for this. It takes a lot, if ever, to get your viewership back when you let one employee speak their mind. Especially in Louisville. Cards fans do not forget. Look at the CJ as an example, at deaths door. Bill can't speak all things Louisville and then have someone on payroll doing the opposite.
According to WDRB News this morning, Katina Powell's attorney Larry Wilder filed a motion to dismiss the civil suit against her. Sure that will go no where.
I'm not sure what some of you all expect. When UofL plays in the Minardi Classic against the team Andre McGee just resigned from then yeah there will be articles written. Both of these articles were very realistic. In fact you could argue that Forde's article makes UK look bad because he is suggesting that the Blueneck fans won't be able to control their own mouths and will act like asses.
Personally I expect this to be a non issue UNTIL the NCAA makes it an issue. I would prefer the press to concentrate on the team, the games, and the season instead of the investigation which is currently underground and out of sight to everyone.

Bozich is a IU fan who can't stand the local team in the city he works in, and Forde was actually suspended for 6 months because of his lack of ethics as a reporter when he went after UofL. Neither of these two have any love for Cardinals basketball program.

I dont see an issue with either article. The point is that the road teams [especially UK] are going to bring it up big time in chants, signs and whatever else they can to distract the players. We have had cushy home games but now its going to get real.
And Ho's lawyer asked for the suit bought by the UofL student be dropped. it will since it was frivilous anyway. The real suit is the one filed by the girls claiming defamation. That one is still in play.

Mr. Forde and CRP are (were) best of friends. Mr. Forde left ESPN due to his biased columns regarding UK. It would not surprise me though if he stabbed UL and CRP in the back to further his career. JMHO.
Forde was suspended for 6 months when he worked for the Courier Journal for unethical practices as a journalist and it was due to his witch hunt investigative work against the Cardinals basketball program when Denny Crum was coaching.
There is no love between UofL and Forde no matter how you want to spin it.
And? That doesn't change the fact Forde went after the program when coach Crum was the head coach and got a 6 month suspension for his actions.
Bozo and Forde would be eaten alive if they worked in a city with professional sports franchises. They are both minor league at best.
The point being that he has a strong, professional relationship with Coach Pitino. I would assume he has no axe to grind with CRP.
I didn't say he did. I said his axe grinding was with UofL and coach Crum. I stand by that. He has no love for UofL, and it's my opinion his relationship with Pitino ends at professionalism. I'm professional with a bunch of my co-workers. That doesn't mean I like them or that they like me.

Even though I believe Forde would write a scandalous piece on his own Mother for clicks, I agree with Hank that his most recent column makes UK fans look like the psychotic vermin that they are more than it rips UofL.
With Bozich it's a matter of getting someone to actually read his boring columns so he goes to the only thing that draws attention to his work. I also wouldn't be surprised if Bozich got the idea to write his piece after seeing Forde's.

I am not spinning anything. The guy is all about himself. Things may have changed. Why do you think he went after Denny so hard? He used to work for the Lexington Herald also (I think) while CRP was in Lexington. He desperately wanted CRP to take the UL job (In my opinion the reason he was so hard on Denny). However, at one time he really wanted CRP back at UK when the Celtics were floundering. He is probably one of the main reasons Tubby resigned. Again, JMHO.

The other piece of this is, yes as a national writer Forde has to put out something that people might read. No one outside of Cards fans give a damn about a UofL - UMKC game. My guess is that Forde wanted to stay home this week, so he came up with the only angle that anyone nationally would care about. Some might say that is just to get clicks, but I think that is ultimately a big responsibility of his job.
I question the use of the word professionalism and Mr. Forde in the same sentence. Do you ever wonder how Mr. Forde always gets the exclusives on any UL story...good or bad? It is for his spin to provide accolades (good) or mitigation (bad). CRP and Mr. Forde's relationship is well beyond professional and documented as such. Have a great Christmas.

The next time Bozo writes a positive article concerning ANYTHING UofL will be the first time. I'm surprised that Forde wrote his claptrap article. He has been pretty close to CRP ever since he arrived here and his axe to grind was with Denny. But maybe things are achangin'.

Forde is picking the Cards to beat UK. That SOB is only doing that to put added pressure on us. Obviously he wants UK to win and hates everything about UofL. And then of course Bozo is picking the Cats. He must be crazy to think this disjointed UK team can beat the cohesive Cards. It is obvious he wants UK to win and hates everything about UofL.
