Bottom line is if this team moves the ball makes the extra pass they can win some games next week. If they panic in drought mode and start jacking up three's and going one on one they will lose early. It's really that simple/

Better passing always leads to better shot selection and if the people taking the shots can hit them, then all is well.

That didn't happen yesterday and the result was 1 field goal made in 16 minutes in the 2nd half. Because of that, the Cards went from 5 up to losing by 10. The Cards got beat by 15 points in the second half yesterday. That's an ass whooping for 20 minutes. Period.

This team plays hard. They panic when they get behind or when they get frustrated and make bad decisions. Need senior leadership at guards. Rozier is skilled but he's only a Soph and loses his patience. Snider, I believe, will become a very good player, just a Frosh now and makes some more judgements.

And lastly, we are mediocre to below-average outside shots.

Put all this together and we've probably over-achieved, honestly.

Maybe we'll have a couple of good games and get to the sweet 16 but anything beyond that will be a miracle.

Just not a lot left in the cupboard this year after Hancock and Russ left.

The reason I kept the faith in January/February is because I felt Rozier was goign to be the best player on the court in any game so we always had a puncher's chance (see Shabazz in 2014 and Kemba in 2011). But he is just struggling and at times hurts the Cards more than he helps them. His continuous missed shots yesterday really hurt. The good news I guess is that he has shot himself out of the 1st round and will probably be back.

I can't agree with the not alot left in the cupboard...we have 2 pro players and a experienced senior. Plus a top 10 recruiting class. I think the problem is he won't use his bench much...causing "as Rozier put it"....they run out of gas at the end of games.

If we had a top 10 recruiting class last year, where'd it go? Don't get me wrong, I think they have talent, but I also think they weren't really ready, plus it just might have been over-rated. I think we have 1 NBA-type player (Harrell). Rozier, if he leaves, I think will end up in Europe and probably won't ever make the NBA. He's a very good college player for a sophomore, but I don't think he's NBA quality - definitely not yet. Blackshear, I think right now, is playing the best he has in his career. I think he's a really good guy.

BTW, it seems to me, Rozier has been at his best in the 2nd half - even at the end of the 2nd half. Maybe not recently though.

We need Rozier to play BOTH halves, not just one. He can be the best player on the court every game. The Cards will go as far as the Big 3 take us. Remember DeJuan Wheat? I saw him in Pittsburgh almost single handily take us to the Elite 8 on a team with NO center. It can be done and I believe it will.... Pitino's zone offense changes, 35+ deflections and the the Big 3s desire to win will get DaVille to the 2nd weekend at least! Here we go!

The production per minute of our reserves is not going to carry us in the the NCAA tourney. Quit hoping for things that aren't in Santa's Xmas bag...
