Tonight was the first time I heard some boos. Appropriate? Inappropriate? Does NIL change your opinion since these guys are no longer unpaid amateurs?

Doesn't surprise me, but never like boo-ing even if it's directed at coaches. Highly doubt our current guys make anywhere close to enough NIL money to change my mind on that...

To be honest I heard a few boos but they were for specific plays i.e. Withers dribbling the ball around only to lose it, shot clock going down and they hit a 3, foul called on Curry…

I don’t think boos were directed specifically at players or coaches but bone headed mistakes and bad defense leading to easy baskets by them…

Now that might change for the next game as several people were displeased with the lack of coaching and no adjustments made by Mack in the 2nd half.

Frustration continues to build and performances like that are going to led to negative reactions by some. It is one of the realities of NIL once money starts flowing expectations/reactions change. Right or wrong they are now paid athletes their job is to win. They pay terrible they are going to hear it.

The verdict is in - booing is frowned upon. Unfortunately with more uninspired, deflating games like last night, the discontent only grows. Likely gonna be a fractious final 7 weeks at the Yum Center.

Worst exhibition from a UL BB team that I can recall in terms of focus and effort. Curry was the one obvious exception. I thought I detected some of that same indifference from Williams in the FSU game, but he and Withers were both playing like they were “under the influence” of something.

I can tell you one thing; I was sitting 3 rows behind Christi Mack and her 2 daughters. This is about 7 or 8 rows behind the team bench. Last night was the 4th time I had those seats. They heard and looked back each time there was a boo or anything less than positive being said about Coach Mack. There was a guy right behind me that said “get in the game coach” and “what are you doing coach?” on different occasions. Christi Mack spun around both times to see who it was. Not gonna lie; I slid over so she could get a better look at the guy. 😳🤣 I thought for sure she was going to come back there and confront the guy. I feel quite sure the whole Mack family is feeling the pressure Coach is feeling to produce better results. I felt bad for them, but I guess you need to have pretty thick skin to go to the games and sit behind your husband and dad, a high profile coach at a major program.

Personally, I have never booed at games and I don't cheer or yell out either. I do clap but I personally never felt comfortable yelling at the people on the court/field. Good or bad.

Now in the comfort of my home, I yell and scream quite a bit. I don't boo. People who boo at games want the players and coaches to know they're not happy. It's the same thing when they cheer. They want to show their approval.

People upset over booing no doubt show their frustration in other ways like swearing more than they normally do. Like me they just don't feel comfortable doing that or booing in public. A lot of other people don't mind and do a lot of booing. Alcohol has a place in a lot of this.

I’m not the booing type, but when it happened last night unfortunately it seemed needed and oddly appropriate for what was unfolding.

She better get used to it. Hell I coach a 3rd and 5th grade team and my wife has to sit in the stands with all of the others and hears comments. And.......I'm not making $4.25 million a year!

I agree it is probably not a good recruiting strategy and you know the recruits hear it.
