Lamar cant take a snap from center and he looks gimpy on his runs. Why is bobby so hell bent on not trying bolin?

We are one dimensional because we can not run the ball so lets just be real here. This season is over.

This is an unprepared team. That is all coaching.

This is the offense everyone was clammoring for in camp this fall.

Bolin lost to "Clemson" by 3 and was relegated to the bench.

Bolin's attitude is great, but I bet Kyle is under center somewhere else next season.

I hope that he does what is best for him.
Wish our coaching staff knew he was on their bench.
Someone needs to introduce him to our coaching staff

There is obviously some behind the scenes politics going on here.

The read option package is being dialed up regardless of what it produces.

There is a major power struggle going on within the staff - there has to be.
We will have the answer to that at the end of the year. Hopefully its simply that they stuck with the gameplan.

Great win. Go cards!

Would like to see more Bolin

Beasley - you and I have been saying Bolin should get the nod and got ripped for it. Time for the coaching staff and the masses on it which is obvious. The Petrino offense is best suited to Kyle Bolin right now. He is able to make good checks at the line, he gets guys in the right spot and he can play under center. He also brings the quick passing game into play, which helps offset our run problems.

I believe McGee has more than likely been in charge of this offense more than people realize, probably to the tune of 100% in control. Petrino cannot recruit fellas, he's got guys like McGee doing that lifting. And with that, comes concessions.

McGee's O could work with a good line and a dynamic RB, but we have neither.

More than likely any kind of system would fail with this team.

To be 4-4 is pretty fortunate, and I think we can really use the extra practice time if we can reach a bowl.

We are able to give a threat with power running or passing with Bolin. Stevie wonder can see the difference.
Make some plays to get Lamar and Reggie in space. Spread it out to give lanes to our running backs.

Some think it's the line, I don't think we have line problems.. We have execution problems. When Bolin was in the line problems we not as obvious. The runs were a product of a QB being under center and the quick exchange between qb and running back. Hit holes fast and moved the ball.

Basically, We need a lot of Kyle. We look better and are a serious threat to moventhe ball without trick plays.

Petrino and the coaches need to put their heads together and do what is best for team. Bolin is best for team.

Bolin is the best qb on this team at this time imo. LJ may be down the road. ..maybe. bolin has always looked good when he plays. I can't help but feel these last few games would have looked better with him in. Great athlete doesn't mean great qb. See brady, manning, Montana, Unitas, etc.....

I'm trying to not criticize Lamar because he is young and a budding star. But the reality is that he is not making good reads in the zone read, he cannot go under center, the offensive line looks confused with him at QB, the running backs are completely ineffective and he cannot make the necessary checks at the line.

He is going to be a star some day, but he needs more time to develop.

I agree with you 100%
Have packages for him and Reggie, but allow Kyle the lions share of QB reps.
He is our best choice.

Allow Lamar to learn how to play QB in the off season.

If they are going to use him - and I think some sort of concussion to RB forced their hand - it's important to put Bolin in a position to succeed. In the same manner as they don't line up LJ under center, Petrino (or whomever is calling the plays for this team) needs to call primarily 3 step drops - slants, quick outs, tight end end drags, skinny posts and make sure Bolin has a hot read at his disposal. Without the escapability that LJ has, they have to play to Bolin's strengths (and away from the OL's weaknesses) - getting the ball out accurately and on time.
