...is that the FBI is likely waiting for college basketball's biggest stage. It's pretty obvious that the timing for their news leaks in not coincidental. When the eyes of the nation turn toward college basketball each year is the ideal time to get maximum exposure for yourself on a college basketball issue.

The real questions are exact timing for an actual news release and the NCAA's immediate response. If it happens before Selection Sunday, the "#2 seed Tennessee-Chattanooga" result is in play. And in that situation as comical as it sounds, who knows what the brackets would look like? If the NCAA tries to react quickly, you could see a lot of surprises in the NCAA field such as a U of L at-large invite.

If the announcement happens after Selection Sunday and before the first weekend, the NCAA will have a tough decision in addition to the logistical hurdle of potentially changing its brackets. What if the FBI schedules a press conference for 10 AM that Monday morning? You know that would be a direct challenge placed upon the NCAA to respond. No chance that's coincidental.

Not only could teams be moved around, invited or uninvited, you could see a team like LPT loaded with 5-star kids have to decline its invitation. They can't field a starting line-up without playing a 5-star kid...

Louisville already got caught back in the summer or whenever and they are still allowed to play. But you’re saying schools that get named in the next couple weeks won’t be allowed to play? That makes no sense.

Wow. Didn't the FBI already do this to UL and the NCAA hasn't responded? Nothing is happening to anyone this year, not by the NCAA - and by extension, how would UL get an invitation when the same dragnet would have gathered up everyone, including UL? I don't understand your logic.

Figgered attention-starved slappies would take the bait...

It's not about disqualifying teams. It's about schools taking the risk of playing guys named on a list. Bowen isn't playing for U of L nor or other kids connected with the investigation. Ask South Carolina why Bowen's not suiting up for them...

Because he hasn't been cleared. Everyone playing at the moment has been. Btw, Bowen hasn't been cleared because the NCAA still hasn't acted on the info they have at hand. They simply don't move that fast. You didn't bait anyone, you just made a bad post.

There are others besides Bowen already sitting out. And you don't understand timing evidently... WHEN (not if) the NCAA starts naming names, everyone is under the gun to make sure they're playing eligible players. THAT HASN'T HAPPENED YET. It won't happen again until the FBI gets in front of cameras again.

Are slapd!cks really that dense, or do you just act like it?

No idea what you're talking about. Slappies just have a hard time reading and thinking.

Thought you were going to say upset UVA and steal a road game - then find a way to win a game or two in the ACC Tourney.

Dreams of course.

But didn't see the thread taking this turn when I opened it!
