The No. 2 (man that sounds good) Cardinals take on No. 17 Wake Forest in an important ACC Atlantic Division matchup. Cards are tied with Clemson and Wake is currently in third. The annual Patriotic game kicks off tonight with McKay going for win #5. McKay did not get the win in his last start against Virginia although the Cards did manage the win. Wake Forest is No. 2 in the country in HRs. Go Cards!

Cards take a early lead 1-0 going into 4th inning courtesy of a RBI single scoring Taylor from 2nd base. Taylor had our first hit, a single and was bunted over by Stowers with 2 outs.

Wake strikes back quickly. After giving up a double, McKay tried to challenge the cleanup hitter. With a 3-2 count, the batter blasted a 2 run HR. Wake leads 2-1.

Cards had something cooking in the bottom of the 5th after Stowers hit a triple with 2 outs. After Fitch walked, Hairston hit a ball down the right field line that was inches foul. Hairston then grounded out to SS on a bang -bang play. Wake up 2-1 going into 6th inning.

Damn,37 game streak at home ends. Some in the lineup need to step up.

Go get em on Saturday Cards!

Once Taylor is back 100%, he needs to go back to lead off and put Stowers in the 2 hole and move Fitch down. Our offense is struggling since moving Hairston to the 3 spot.
Absolutely. In fact,I expect it get jumbled up today.

It's as if our baseball team is an afterthought. It's not shocking, but slightly surprising.
