My buddy texted me and said he’s hearing big transfer news coming (bad news)

He’s not an insider or connected, but he’s usually right when he tells me stuff. What are you guys hearing?

When one door closes, another door opens.

I have no idea as to what Satterfield and Tyra will be doing between now and January, but the future of UL football is at stake. I doubt a Head Coaching change is happening, but it is not out of the realm of possibility. I have no doubt however that UL’s staff will be different well before Spring practice rolls around.

Transfers work both ways; as we will lose some, but if CSS has any hope of surviving here in Louisville, he will need to attract some serious transfers in here to shore up both sides of the football and particularly on the defensive side. The SEC will get the very best available transfers as usual, but that means some very talented kids that expect reduced snaps at schools like UF, UGA, LSU, A&M and others will be entering the portal as well.

Stoops success this year can be traced to 4 transfers; first was hiring Coen as OC, and Levis at QB, Robinson at receiver and Jones at LB. He already had a good roster, but those four changes made a huge difference.

This is going to be a yearly thing. Kids want to win. This one is bad look because he is leaving after having a good season and the offense is all coming back. That tells me he doesn’t like this offense.

How about we do this. Let’s have some legitimate discussions about U of L’s head coaching situation without one mention of Porky and what the kitties did or didn’t do.

I don't really know if you are right with your comments, but I sure as hell hope so. Your mention of transfers at uahkay hits close to home. Further, it also hits at where kids come from to lend to success at either UofL or uahkay. Once again, we are posed with the question, does the Commonwealth of Kentucky produce enough D1 high school talent to support a major D1 football program? In my opinion, the answer is not only no, but hell NO. This is not a knock on local public/private school coaching, but rather a critique of a small populated state being able to sustain enough high school programs to support not only one, but two D1 football programs. Actually, three when including WKU in the mix. And we all know that out of state programs do, in fact, come here to cherry pick high school talent. The key to continual success for uahkay or UofL is to have recruiting success outside the state. It's obvious that any past success at UofL was fueled by recruits from southern states such as GA, AL and Florida. Oh, WTH, we've had this conversation long before now. I guess we'll just have to have it again.

GO CARDS!!!
