One thing occurred to me last night that going forward I will never, ever doubt again. Without a truly exceptional offensive and defensive front you can forget running the table and surviving a horrible "off night". To have an opportunity to be welcomed into the fraternity of "big boy football" by winning the big games, making the playoffs and accomplishing a goal of becoming a national champion - well, it all begins and ends with line play.

You can slice it and dice it anyway you want, you can have elite skill position players but ultimately you have to have elite lineman on both sides of the ball, PERIOD. If not, well your just flat kidding yourself and pissing in the wind.

Our program, while not having accomplished quite as much as Oregon is very similar to the Ducks IMO. The Duck's great teams have ultimately failed due to not quite having the studs up front and that's where we are at too.

Best post I've seen about the game last night. Got to step up to the challenge where it counts most and that's in the trenches.

If it's a talent issue then go get the talent. If it's a coaching issue then go get the coaches. Either or both is fine with me.

10000 likes, dude! Being elite in the trenches will carry you through an off-night. Last night was the perfect storm of off-night + Houston playing like they should have all season. Kudos to them.

Now let's destroy the Cayuts and get a NY6 bowl. A Heisman, a NY6 bowl, a Top 10 final season ranking - plenty left to play for.

What I have seen in the last few weeks is a Louisville team that has stopped being a team. They are great competitors all around. Offense and defense... What I see is a breakdown on offense. That's my take that's all it is. The offense is having some kind of rift and it seems to be affecting everyone on both sides. Ky is next! Kick them in the arse! Win out! Nevertheless I'll still be proud of my cards evey year.
