The shape of our program in year 5 is not up to expectations. Petrino's past his prime and going through the motions. No eye of the tiger in him. Execution blows. Hiring family. Talked up Pass all offseason and then threw in the towel after one quarter of the first winnable game we played against a D1 school.
We need to pick off an assistant coach from a perennial power house after this season and include a Petrino sized buyout to get our 4 years worth. Or bring back Strong. But his booster mischief probably makes that not likely. His teams were always tough, competed, and loved playing for him. We need to find that again. Muddling through as a 7 win (+ / - 1) team year after year is not what this fanbase and Tom Jurich spent the last 20 years supporting and building.
