Reminds me of my last trip to a UL FB game at Commonwealth. Beer cans, fbombs and middle figures (could have been IQ indicators) all thrown or shouted at the UL team bus as it approached the stadium. Blue necks were in our face the entire game. As bad as WVU fans.
i would think some adults in that area would have the decency to go get security? Sad state of affairs when folks don’t want to get involved & do the right thing.
One road trip I always bypass is the trip to Commonfilth Stadium. If I wanted to hang out with trash, I’d set up shop at the county dump.
Well when you consider the “ankle twisting” incident and the total non response from the uahkay administration then this is exactly what we should expect from those blue neck fools. And Barnhart must favor the wealthy folks in the so called “private suites” because they can get knee walking, crap faced drunk but the common folks are NOT to enjoy a cold beer, period. So guess what, they all get hammered in the parking lots and scream at the opposing team when they arrive. Such a classy bunch.

I won't lie. My wife is a UK fan and we went to a UofL/UK game I think it was Charlie's first UofL/UK home game (forget the date). Me, her, and a few UofL fan friends. When UofL won SOME UofL fans were giving her hell and we about had to knock some fools down.
I may be a UofL fan but it was toxic and I would have had no problem kicking some UofL fan ass for that. Bunch of southern JeffCo redneck garbage fools.

So what makes you assume they were from Souther Jeff Co? I’m from Southern Jeff Co and I’m far from being a redneck. You know, I was at a UofL-Uk b-ball game once at the Yum. I was sitting next to a couple uk fans. Well this uk fan was doing her share of yelling and taunting. At the end of the game some UofL fans around weren’t pleased and started calling her a cu**, a bit**, etc. I actually intervened and had to tell the UofL fans to knock it off cause this woman’s husband was turning beet red and there would soon have been a fight. Either way, I stepped in, for a uk fan, and I’m from Dixie Hwy. We’re not all degenerate red necks.
The point is that neither fanbase is good. Both are trash and coming from this trash state it's to be expected.
And those rednecks can suck my taint. We had size and when we told them to stfu they did. Rednecks are trash and I've fought many of them and they fold like cards. Bunch of drunk trailer bullshit. I was at Indy watching RP's final tourney games for UofL (DM's last year) and the UofK fans were horrible. Just the worst.

All Kentuckians should not be cast in a horrible light like a poster just did. We do have some true rednecks here just like they do in every state. But there are some really good people here and we just lost a great one in David Jones. I’ve had issues at lessington too but I’ve seen my fellow Card fans act a fool also. People always want to blame alcohol consumption and there is a fair share of that but with some folks it just doesn’t matter.

It goes back to when we played an away game at Kansas St in 2006 and they made a return trip here in 2008. I didn’t make the trip to Manhattan KS that year but Louisville fans made a point of saying how great the KSU fans were.

Wasn’t in any way, shape or form defending those comments from him - or him personally. His comments were completely ignorant and not worth responding to, as he clearly doesn’t know much about the vast majority of Kentucky or, Kentuckians. Any and everywhere you go there are low class people - and it has nothing to do with any socioeconomic factors. I was in an establishment in a Northern Virginia, DC suburb a few years ago.
It was zero difference from any dive bar in Louisville. (And yes, there are bars in east Louisville that are exactly the same as South Louisville )
