Bad News for Cards - JaQuan Lyle confirms allegations

This is the shoe that we were hoping wouldn't drop. This changes the entire narrative now.

I'm oscillating between disappointed and pissed. Powell is a bad person, but maybe its time to start skewering Andre McGee. His actions appear to be completely reckless.

The banner won't come down because I don't think it goes to the eligibility of the players. That's not a concern. The biggest concern is if your coach or AD knew, then that's the time to start worrying. The worst the NCAA would do is cut a schooly or two, out of the NCAA tournament for a year. Those are 2 things you can overcome. Replacing Pitino and Jurich puts you back a decade.

Wishful thinking Cat fan go back to your hole and worry about cal

Big Smythe, what was wishful thinking in that post? I just made a comment that the banner won't come down and whatever the NCAA does won't kill the program, but losing Pitino and Jurich would hurt a lot. Try and stop frothing at the mouth for a second to read and comprehend. I don't worry about Cal. If all of you that were holding your breath that he'd be in some trouble with the NCAA you'd all be dead by now.

Now who's doing the wishful thinking ?!?

The article said Lyle "confirmed the gist of allegations involving paid escorts". Still don't know exactly what that means without any more details. It doesn't sound good though.

Exactly.

Lyles took immunity because HE IS THE ONLY ONE, to confirm STRIPPERS entertained
recruits. If anyone is guilty, its lyles himself.

Blakney, Chane, Trez, Elisha, and others said no money was exchanged.

Unless money being exchanged can be confirmed, the SuCkS fans, i mean NCAA has
nothing.

I have to admit I did not read BBNrules' post the same way. I took it to mean that he was adding his opinion to the question about whether or not we would forfeit the 2013 NCAA Championship. He didn't think it would; he thought the worst that would happen to us would be we lose some scholarships but it was something we could bounce back from.
I don't see that as being ugly. Rational comments should be welcome here, and I thought it was rational.

Can you point us to where it states those others said nothing? Clearly players that attended UL will probably say that but I'd like to see the interviews as you seem so certain

WYMT) - "It just totally caught me off guard" says former University of Louisville basketball player, Elisha Justice regarding a new book, Breaking Cardinal Rules.

Katina Powell has made headlines nationwide since the release of her book, Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen, a book written about Powell's life.

The book, which both Powell and co-author Dick Cady say is true, accuses former Graduate Assistant, Andre McGee of paying prostitutes to strip and have sex with players to bring in recruits from 2010 to 2014.

"You've got study halls, workouts, practices, class and film sessions. I mean you're together all the time, literally, I just feel like if this was going on someone would have slipped up and said something" says Justice.

Pike County native, Elisha Justice played for the Cardinals for two seasons starting in 2010.

He says he was not a part of anything mentioned in the book and doesn't believe his teammates we're either.

"For me to have never heard anything about it just makes me believe it's made up. I just think it's crazy someone just trying to get someone else in trouble" says Justice.

Powell admits to wanting to take down the university in the book and names the players she says were involved.

University officials say "The allegations have been taken very seriously. In no way would anyone at this institution condone the alleged activities"

As for Pitino,

"To say I'm disheartened and disappointed would probably be the biggest understatement I've said as a coach" says Basketball Coach Rick Pitino.

The NCAA is investigating the accusations.

The university is doing an internal investigation as well.

Powell will receive ten-percent of the book's gross sales.

One pigeon singing ain't going to skewer anyone. LPT fans should know that better than anyone. Wasn't it Doron Lamb who said something like "you can get whatever you want at LPT"??

"Elite program", my a$$...

If you've heard about Doron he was likely talking about women.
