I don’t understand the attendance numbers in the Volleyball match with Ga Tech and the basketball game today. Freedom Hall holds 20,000 and we had both sides on the lower deck full and part of the upper deck and they announced it at 5,000.
In basketball there were some empty seats but it looked almost full and the Yum holds 20,00 but they announced the attendance at 12,000. Does anyone know if those numbers were correct?

Koz - the WBB attendance number sounds right. For volleyball, Freedom Hall’s max was/is right about 16.3K. 5K would be wayyy off. I would have guessed the VB attendance to be about 8-9K.

FH holds 18k roughly. Not 20k.

I was at the game and if the lower seats 12,000 then the attendance figures were correct. I looked at the TicketMaster seating chart earlier yesterday and there were only about 25 seats scattered about Lower Bowl available. They opened up only one side of upstairs (300 Sections) and there was about 100 up there and about the same amount in the private suites. There were still recognizable holes in the center sections of lower bowl so everyone with tickets did not show. Again, I'd say 12,000 was on target.

12,000 for a non conference in early December (though admit a rivalry game) is a great gate. Even announcers were impressed. Frankly being there thought the crowd was a bit subdued but like the players because of Covid we are returning ourselves to game status.

Go Cards.
