Pitino won 2 championships, unless you're saying our 2013 championship doesn't count. I count it!
Come on now, this UK team is not some world beater. I predict they will have a unexpected early departure from the big dance. Calipari has had several better teams than this one.
This team might not win it all, but they won’t have an early exit. Wanting it to happen and predicting it to happen are two different things.
cat fans ride the roller coaster, every year they see the talent and every year they see cal's in game coaching disasters and they get fed up. but hope springs eternal and eveyr year their fans says look at the class they got coming in, they'll be great next year. and they are until cal has to actually coach and their physical dominace is neutralized.
They tried something different this year. They start 1 OAD FR, 3 transfers, and 1 returning guy. It's a little more aligned with the rest of the country approach.
It will be interesting to see how it goes for them. They have a monster class next year I know we've heard this before but when you factor in they can also reach into the portal to fill out their rotation, and you can see these next two years are gonna swing the pendulum one way or another for him with their fans. They are probably close to on edge. They realize, this is a really down year the top teams are extremely flawed. So if the parity is as real as it feels, then nobody is coming in and overwhelming the field. That means they see an opening and ain't gonna be happy if they don't make a deep run against this field. So he has a lot on the line this year and next. Go on a deep run either, or, or both and they are happy with him. If not, man they may finally turn the heat up. We'll see.
Normally it comes down to getting stops, good guard play, making key shots. I don't really know who has all that, maybe nobody.

They didn’t try anything different it just played out that way, and it just happens that they ended up with 1 O&D!
The ones that don’t seem to be O&D may still think that they are and will enter the draft anyway or transfer where they won’t be recruited over!
Yes every year after year after year everyone has heard wait til you see next years class! A yearly growing amount of uk fans are beginning to yawn 🥱 at wait till next years class!!!
