Last night was an impressive win for the Cards over Clemson especially when you consider that they did it without Q. Can they carry this into a big road win over FSU?
The game at FSU tomorrow presents another test or opportunity for this basketball team to really set
itself apart. It's not a must win by any stretch, but would really position the Cards well in the ACC, go a long way in perception and how this team is viewed nationally.
FSU is sitting tied w/ UNC and ND at the top spot in the conference at 5-1 and 17-2 overall. FSU is long and athletic. They have big wins over Florida (I know), @Virginia (speaks for itself), Duke and ND with 3 of those wins being at home. FSU plays well at home and there is no reason for us to expect anything different from them tomorrow.
Not that it really matters now, but Louisville is much better than their current ranking would suggest. Let's see if they can come out and pass another huge test without Q and take advantage of an opportunity to really standout not only in the ACC, but in overall national perception. There is not a team ranked above Louisville that scares me.
Scheduling does not help with the quick turnaround, but these are circumstances they will be presented with in the NCAA tournament obviously without the travel component.
This is a big one tomorrow. No way to downplay it.
