I have been complaining about this for years. One of the reasons why Louisville is such a big sports town is because of it's student athletes - all ages - and the support of women. We go to all sporting events whether racing, UofL, Bats, plus we watch it on tv. Yet local sports radio stations continue - I assume - I'm not listening - to take ads from these businesses that use women in the most disrespectful way.

Andre McGee and others probably thought they weren't doing anything wrong. They are interviewed on the radio, then there's a 'prostitution' ad.

I don't care if they are a legitimate business. Good for tourism? Really? What kind of people are coming into downtown? Let them do it in their own home town.

Times have changed. Times are changing. Enough is enough.

Ellen, of course there is hypocritical agendas across the board.

SI produced an article stating UofL creates a bad culture and environment for women, for example.

My counter would be - nowhere has anybody accused anybody from UofL of forcing anything on the women. Also, SI objectifies women with every Swimsuit Issue they've produced.

Long story short, SI is just as guilty as the rest of the culture for promoting a culture that de-values women.

Make no mistake, I am strong on equality across race/gender, etc. It's an across the world problem, not a UofL campus isolation anomaly.
