Alright Cards!

I noticed a lot of UL jerseys with names and numbers I’m not used to seeing so it seems they were using some different personnel or at least mixing more guys in. And, not so sure that was all Brown’s doing. I suspect Crime Dog had something to do with this. Much tighter coverage on the WRs and much more pressure on the QB. I don’t think UCF saw this coming. I know I didn’t!!!!

Major defensive adjustments in both alignment, scheme and personnel. Brian Brown did not wait until halftime, he made the adjustments after the 2nd score.

Holding UCF scoreless for the majority of the contest in Orlando is no small feat for any opponent. Listen to what the UCF staff were saying about the adjustments UL made defensively …… pretty impressive.

Those replacements were actually tackling people in the second half. Some of the guys we saw afraid to put there helmets on people might want to get used to watching from the sidelines.

You are 100% correct Earsky, and surprisingly one of those players who missed an opportunity to do just that, was Montgomery on the last UCF TD run. Monty literally did A “matador move”, when he half-heartedly waved his left arm at the QB as he was moving into the end zone.

I believe that is when Brian decided to make the adjustments.

It makes you wonder if Montgomerys injury has played a part in his tackling and playing not to get injured again
