All Players have to be in portal by 5/1, do they have to sign by a date?

i heard on the radio someone say that players have to sign and choose a school by may 31, can anyone confirm or deny this?

I believe there is still no "sign by" date. Just have to enter your name into portal by May 1st.

The NBA window closes at the end of May. That’s when a player has to decide to stay in the draft or return to college. May 1st is the last day someone can enter the portal. When that window closes, I’m not sure. I think for football, players have unlimited roster movement until 8/1.

The portal ends at 11:59 today but you will still see players popping up in the portal after today. Doesn't sound like much of a deadline.
